Melody hurriedly took out her cell phone, and after fiddling it with her slender fingers for a bit, she handed it to me. I took a look and realized that Zack had been pestering Melody on her socials, saying that he had called over his friend in a moment of impulse and that he still loved her very much. He even assured her yet another time that he would never do such a thing to her ever again.
Melody sounded like she had lost something important. "I really don't want to believe Zack anymore. Last time, he promised that he would not do, or even suggest, any such debaucherous things to me, but he clearly lied. If he betrayed my trust once, he can do it again. I’m scared to reply to his text and terrified that he will wait under my apartment to harass me.
