After Quinn heard what I said, she said nothing in response. She took her hand away from my stomach, after which I heard her rolling over to sleep.
Seeing that the woman really was sleeping, I heaved a sigh of relief. If she continued to persist, I might not be able to restrain myself.
I had no more worries burdening me, so I quickly fell asleep. When I woke up the next morning, it was just me alone in the room. Quinn and Daniel seemed to have gone out.
I rubbed my aching head and got up. I saw that the woman had made breakfast and left some on the dining table, along with a note. "Luke, I took Daniel to the hospital to see a doctor. Breakfast is on the table. Close the door when you leave. Thank you for your care in the past few days!"
When I looked at the note, I let out a long sigh
