I stared at the boy wearing the black and blue plaid shirt with dark blue jeans. I could hear my heart thudding, could feel my body break into a sweat and my knees tremble. We stood on opposite ends of the table just staring at each other. It wasn't a large space but it felt like centuries separated us.
