Oak didn't return for hours, not even after Flynn and Elias returned from their rather fruitless journey. The village had no alcohol and Elias was beyond pissed by the fact. I was at the edge of my seat, eyes darting around as I searched and waited for Oak to pop out from the woods any second. “Are you waiting for someone?” Flynn asked, taking the space next to me with a heavy sigh. Elias had walked back into the cabin, barely saying a thing to me and Flynn…well he seemed like he couldn't leave me alone for longer than a few minutes. “Oak shouldn't have left you alone,” He tutted, “Did he perhaps mention where he was going?” The image of Oak pulling away instantly came to mind and I was immediately overcome with worry, for the nth time in that evening, I wondered if he'd died in t
