Chapter 4They made him go home. Visiting hours had to end eventually, and Finn wasn’t in any serious peril. The friendly nurse let Wes stay an extra hour, because Finn was adorable and moderately famous, but rules were rules.
Finn said it was all right. He’d just sleep more, he pointed out, so Wes should do the same, and come back in the morning, and they could go home together. His eyes were very tired when he said it.
Wes kissed him fiercely, deeply, as thoroughly as possible when Finn’s leg was still supported and shouldn’t move too much. He was trying to say that he’d be back the second the doors opened, that he’d take care of everything, that he wanted to do that, that he wanted Finn.
