Samantha was woken up by an incessant nagging on her shoulder. She opened her eyes, adjusting to the glaring light on the window of the motel. Samantha and Christian decided to pay two rooms for the night, because a) they both liked to sleep on the bed and no one wanted to sleep on the floor; b) they weren’t fond of sharing it with each other. She wondered how Christian was able to get inside her room. But then again, she did not lock the door as if she trusted the people enough not to steal her belongings. Nevertheless, her shoulder bag was the only thing lying inside her room while her luggage was dumped at the baggage area of her car. “Sam wake up,” Christian nagged, shaking her shoulders multiples of times.
