“Water” he coughed again. He shifted his weight towards me. I don’t know if he’s still sleeping since his eyelids were still down or he’s dreaming for water but I decided to look for a near convenience store.
I pulled out the car and bought a couple of bottled water. I checked my phone and saw Thea’s message flashed on the screen.
Thea:
How’s Geoff? Is he alright?
Me:
He’s fine. I’ll be back later.
The moment I went back inside the car, Geoff was already awake. I swallowed hard when I saw him looking outside through the window. He was just sitting up straight with no trace of any emotions in his face nor in his eyes. He seems to be somewhere along in his deep thoughts. I saw him swallowing through the movement of his adam’s apple.
