Chapter 11: Guests

-William- It had been three days already. The princess had done little beyond attending her classes, where she relentlessly slammed the door in my face and shouted rule number two. I had sighed deeply but decided every time was best to stay outside. She wasn’t alone in there, and her teacher would undoubtedly alert me if she tried anything reckless. After a few uneventful days, the princess suddenly decided to host some guests—or perhaps her friends decided it was time for a visit. I wasn’t sure which. She had looked quite stiff and surprised when greeting them, so I guessed it was the latter. She invited them into a large living room, where they all sat and drank tea. I was stationed in the corner near the door, facing them. The princess glanced at me a few times, her eyes narrowing.
