Two Weeks Later

I was part of the plan to take my husband down, he thought I would stand behind him after finding out what he did to the former Queen and King. Queen Illya was my friend and it pained me when she died, I was hurt and furious, not only did he kill them but he was cheating on me and had a second family. I don't know what she will decide but King Joryen and his son, Prince Emile are in attendance today for the Royal Court. I had gathered all the necessary information and went to the High Elders I trusted, not Joimar's puppets, he was going down today for what he did to my parents. He had them ambushed which resulted in their deaths, he poisoned them so they would have been weak although King Joryen was poisoned with a different and more potent poison. There was no known cure and he was dying, he had confirmed it and made peace with it, Prince Emile was preparing to take the throne from his father the moment he died. However, we don't know how long he has because Elves are very old, and their aging is nearly non-existent if you ask me, their territory was small but only mated species who are not Elves live there unless it changes in the future.
Mendai's mother was different, she was working there as a resident witch when she met his father who was unknown to everyone, she still lives here with his stepfather and younger sisters. Laurel was one of the head elders, he didn't like Joimar, he always had a vibe about him but he had no reason or proof to out him until now. Everyone involved had decided to demote him and it was up to King Joryen to execute him if he saw fit, we were not protecting him anymore. Willix on the other hand, was my husband and King, as bad as I would like to leave him, our mating was sealed the moment I marked him, we are stuck together until we pass on. I knew Willex loved me and although I cared about him, even when I tried to hate him, I was starting to love him.
Willix however is not a bad husband as long he doesn't betray me again although I did have a brief fling with King Samuel, so, I won't hold it against him. Looking back, marking Willix was irresponsible of me but it was the right thing to do since he is proving to be a competent King, however, I still am not giving him my power. We saw the portal open and Joryen and his son, along with their guard, my former bodyguard entered the court. We made them comfortable before the doors opened and in came, Lady Lorena and Elder Joimar, holding hands, I hoped she didn't double-cross us because I already pardoned her and her kids, they would not be banished with him. I signaled for the guards to stand next to him when he asked, "What is this? Is there a panel I know nothing about?"
I knew everyone was waiting for me as my husband sat next to me, even though he was clueless and I saw him smile at me when I linked him, "Trust me, okay." I said, "Let's begin now that our guest has arrived," Laurel first spoke and told him of his crimes when he looked confused and yelled, "Are you all mad, this is a blatant lie?" Willix linked me, "What are you doing, Marion?" I held Willix's hand and said, "Just listen before you judge," and he nodded looking at his father in disappointment. Lady Lenora backed away from him when he realized it would have been her who let them in their secret vault and he wanted to grab her but the guards held him back, he tried to use magic forgetting in court, it's a magic-free zone. He was furious as all his crimes were read off and he looked at Lenora with such rage yelling, "You b***h, I will kill you for this, how could you do this to me, to us?" When Willix yelled, "Enough," silencing everyone before Joryen stood up with his dagger.
