Chapter 20: Power Couple

Many Years Later

Marion

I was in the lab working on many things as my husband attended a meeting in Ironside about future alliances, King Joryen had passed and Emile was now, King. Mendai became Head General and fourth in Command after his brothers Levi and Jared became second and third in command respectively. They never found out who killed their father but they know it had to do with the Rogue King who was killed many years ago in the civil war. Elijah became King a few years back and had his issues to deal with but I protected his borders as it bordered Volterra, the same with the Elves. Samuel hadn't come to the surface in years but we kept in touch, he did come to my wedding and Dragu's coronation, it was a special time in Volterra, a good feeling after the death of the former King and young Prince. A night that was still fresh in the minds of those who experienced it, Lady Lenora grieved with me and celebrated Willix's and my son's birthday every year since it happened.

We bonded over our loss and became best friends, she has been my rock when I needed it and so has Nola, I couldn't want better friends to experience this journey together. Speaking of journeys, since the merging of our powers, Dragu and I will have a very long life span because of who we are, we will watch all of our friends pass on but will be here for a long time and have accepted it. Dragu explains we will have a descendant takeover in the future who will be able to handle the power and once the power passes on, then, we will age gracefully with each other until we both pass on and I am okay with that. However, we made sure to attach my second and third in command to our lifespan and their families as we couldn't bear to do this without them. The Elders have a long life span once they become an Elder, they are old but you wouldn't know that unless you asked. Since the death of the last Supremes, things have been going haywire in Ravena but we don't have issues with unwanted guests or guests who come here to harm.

The magic in the land will suck their life force, so if you come here, it better be with good intentions, or before crossing our borders, you need to check with the guard at the checkpoints or risk dying. I have an okay relationship with the wolves but since turning down Ivar's wedding proposal, he has been an asshole but he still respects me because he doesn't like that I have become so powerful since mating Dragu. I am currently with child again but this time, I was confident that everything would work out although I am scared of losing another child. Dragu will be back in time before I give birth because he wants to be here when our daughter is born, this time, we know the baby's s*x as Dragu saw it. Nola was pregnant also with her fourth child, Luc wanted a big family so she had no problem giving him one, Laurel also has two biological kids with his mate so in all, five kids and he is happy, he loves his mate, and kids.

Lady Lenora dates on and off but she hasn't found the one and she claims that there was this one guard who she keeps an eye on, I believe she is afraid to fall in love again after what Joimar did. However, I hope that one day, she finds the love and happiness we all experience, I felt a link coming through and I answered it, it was my husband who stated he was on his way back and that everything worked out fine, I smiled because I couldn't wait to see him, I loved this man so much. The fact that he linked me meant he crossed over to Volterra so I ran to the bedroom and took a bath, I wanted my husband, I missed him, hopefully, my pregnant belly won't stop him from ravishing me like I want because I have been horny a lot lately. I was about to fluff up the pillow when I felt his arms around me, linking me, "I miss you, my love," I turned around and kissed him, he had a sexy stubble on his face and it brought out the color in his eyes.

He knelt and kissed my belly singing to our daughter which relaxed her, he said, "She will continue our bloodline, no need to worry, my love," I smiled at the good news. I told him, "I fixed you a bath, Dru," and he went into the bathroom to clean up, I had a meal sent to us because I was spending the night with my husband with no interruptions. Later, we had eaten and were on the bed talking to each other as he rubbed my stomach, he said, "You made me a happy man, Marion. Looking back, I wished I had come to you sooner before all the pain you endured," I placed a finger on his lips and said, "Don't do that, all the things I endured led me to be the woman I am today with you at my side." Dragu looked intensely into my eyes and leaned in placing a kiss on my lips, we ended up making love before drifting off to sleep.

I made sure our treaties were strong so we could live in harmony but I knew that something was going to happen and although I could not see it, I could feel it. I reached back in Volterra in good time linking with my wife to let her know I was almost home, Luc was with me as he became a very good friend and we wanted nothing more than to see our wives again. Once we reached the Palace, I saw Nola running towards Luc and I smiled heading to my quarters, I was hungry and tired but I needed to see Marion to know that she was safe. I pushed the door and saw her fluffing her favorite pillow and I smiled walking over to her, she smelled of strawberries and I inhaled her perfume. I placed my hand on her stomach feeling my daughter kick and I sang to her so she could rest, I saw good things in her future but I also saw a short life but I would not burden my wife with it.

We have a long way to go before she is in any danger and hopefully, in the future, depending on what path she takes, it can change, so I will hope for the best. I took my bath and joined Marion for dinner, we talked about a lot of things and saw how happy she truly was, the sadness behind her eyes was gone and I wanted her to be like this for a long time. We cuddled and I was at peace with my family wishing my parents could experience this with me. We both lost a lot leading up to us finally being together and I won't change our journey for all of Revana, it was what made us stronger and appreciate the small jesters we do for each other. After a very intimate session with each other, we drifted off to a well-needed sleep. I was woken up by a vision, and I was still reeling it all in, I knew my visions go and come and some were vaguely explained but this was unusual. The vision was about the future Supremes who will run Ravena again, it will happen when we least expect as their future bodies are not born yet.

I don't know how long we have but things are going to get worse before they get better, Marion turns into me cuddled into my side and I smile feeling the tingles of our bond, I love her and I will protect her with my life. She sleeps so peacefully as I take her hair out of her face. I felt my magic wrap around her, comforting her so she and our child could sleep without all the troubles running through her mind. I leaned down kissing her forehead before getting up to go get some water, the hall was quiet and I headed to the kitchen when I saw Marion's servant crying, she jumped when she saw me and bowed her head. I wanted to ask her why she was crying but chose not to, she wiped her tears and apologized heading out of the kitchen. I went into a trans and saw that she was assaulted, and someone she trusts will kill her. So, I headed to Marion so she could help her before it was too late, what good are my visions if I can't help the ones close to us?
