Chapter 25: The Return

A Few Hundred Years Later

I woke up to the news that Aidan, Drax, and Ty were back, I knew it would happen soon as Dru saw it a few months ago in a vision and we prepared ourselves. Over the years, Roman became a Tyrant King passing laws that we abide by because of the throne he sat on and our treaties. He didn't totally control us but everyone kept the peace that knew about Aidan's return and him being the Superior Being to rule Ravena. The storm that happened was them passing over to the land of the living, I felt it and so did Dru but we waited until we heard word from Elijah to see if it was them. I had a lot of work to do, and so did Lexi, she told her mother that she needed to go with Elijah and left a few days ago, Lexi was Luc's and Nola's daughter, she was mated to a wolf that was killed years ago and she fled to Vampora to work with Elijah. She could have come home to stay but her relationship with her parents was strained as they had a falling out when she mated a wolf.

Nola was glad she was safe and hoped one day they could work out their differences, I knew how they felt, wolves were unpredictable when it came to witches, they hated us and the feeling was mutual but hopefully, things change for the better moving forward. My daughter was mated to a wolf and lived happily in Dartmouth Kingdom with my granddaughter and great-granddaughter. They kept in touch and sometimes my grandchildren visited us but I never liked Addison's husband, Erik, he was a creep and gave off bad vibes, Dru said he would die eventually but something else plagued him that he was not telling. However, he confirms that our great-great-granddaughter will be the one to replace us when we are ready to make that move, unfortunately, Allison has not mated yet or met her true mate, so we still have a while to go.

I headed into the office today as Dru had his own business to attend to, since the modernization of a lot of things and technology, we had to roll with the punches to blend in with some humans who are mated with us and we have business in human territory too. My secretary was Luda, the servant girl I saved so many years ago, she was assaulted by her uncle and he was going to kill her to hide his secret. Luda was good at her job especially when it came to gatekeeping, she mated a few years ago to an Elf and has two teenage boys with her mate. It was late evening when my husband turned up to take me home, he kissed my lips and then a message came through from Elijah, "The Supremes were all alive and well, there would be a meeting tomorrow with all allies," I saw Dru got the message as his eyes glazed over as well.

It was a sneaky link I put in place with the Allies years ago once confirmation that the Supremes would be back soon, we can speak with each other, no matter where in Ravena relating to the Supremes. Dominic smiled in the link asking, "Dru, are you up for game night?" I said, "He needs my permission, Dom," Emile jumped in saying, "Really now, Dragu, it seems your wife has your balls," and we all laughed. Drugu stated, "I need permission because I am not going to sleep beside you guys if my Queen is unhappy," Elijah cut in and said, "You can sleep next to me, Jasper or Marie don't mind sharing someone as handsome as you, Dru, you might even be tasty." Dragu said, "f**k off, I won't f**k you two, or allow you to feed, bloodsucker," Jasper jumped in and said, "Who said anything about feeding from my end?" Making kissing sounds and we started laughing, I said, "My baby can go anywhere with you guys because I trust you all with my life," and they all were flattered.

The Next Day

Dru wasn't able to attend the meeting as he was going into another meeting with Silas and Barron about certain business that needed to be a joint measure. I was at the secret location nervous, I didn't know what to expect from Aidan and the others, I was hurt when he died the way he did but it was fate. Nothing we did would have stopped it from happening, Roman forced their destiny a lot sooner than expected. I was shocked to find out my great-granddaughter, Allison, was Cayden's mate, I was so happy for them and it dawned on me that my future replacement would be born soon, it was a bittersweet feeling because our deaths were going to be a lot sooner than anticipated. We eventually spoke on a conference phone but Aidan wanted to meet in person so we waited, Emile smiled and Dominic looked at us a bit down saying, "My wife threw me out again, and we smiled.

Emile asked, "What did you do this time?" He smiled and said, "She thinks I slept with a woman, she found her panties in my car and I was sure it wasn't me, so it could only be one person and he has gone radio silent." Emile said, "Let me guess, Allan," and Dominic said, "Bingo, I will kill that halfling if he doesn't clear this up," and we snickered. I said, "He is with the others on the mission, isn't that why he was radio silent?" Dominic said, "I know but until then, I am staying out of my wife's way, you don't want her trying to burn me in the middle of Townsquare." Aidan walked in with Drax, Ty, and Cayden; Michael was not far behind because he is Cayden's protector but I know who they really are underneath the surface. The meeting began and the topic was Roman of course, and getting revenge for their untimely deaths.

As the meeting progressed, Aidan was growing angry at the atrocities that had been happening since he was 'dead.' His aura was so strong everyone in the room submitted and we knew for sure, who the Real King was. I hadn't felt that type of power since my father and he wasn't even a Supreme; Aidan and the others will get stronger as time progresses and I wouldn't want to be in Roman or his allies' shoes. Even Dominic was shocked but not surprised, these Supremes were destined to be stronger than the last ones we had, and Ravena better shape up or feel the consequences, too many bad things have been wiping us out for too long, and hopefully, I could get Aidan to help me open the portal to the nothingness as I thought about my former mate and son.

I was home when Addison came through the door unannounced and went straight to her father's liquor cabinet and I watched waiting for her to tell me what was bugging her. I knew she hid her black eyes from me years ago along with all the other abuse because she wanted to handle it herself but I wish she would find a way to go back to Volterra. I would help her but it was risky because of the spell Erik had on her, however, she claims the abuse had stopped years ago and she loves him. I find it hard to believe for a man like Erik, nothing stopped, he just got better at hiding it. Addison turned to me and I was worried, I asked, "Is it, Allison?" She said, "No, she found her mate," I was happy, so I asked, "Who was it?" She said, "It was playboy, King Cayden," I was shocked but said, "Allison can handle him," she agreed but I knew something else was bothering her.

I pulled her to sit next to me as her pacing up and down was giving me a headache, she turned to me and said, "Mom, don't get mad, just hear me out." I nodded for her to go on because if Erik did something stupid again, I was going to my father for help, I stayed here living under Roman's rule for too long when I could go back to Volterra. She looked at me and asked, "Do you remember, Tyrell Cloudwater?" I said, "You mean Delta Thorin's older son who died with King Aidan and Gamma Draxon Philmont?" She nodded her head, "Yes," I said, "I remembered that was one of your good friends before going to Volterra to train and he was killed after you came back." She looked out of it and I said, "Blurt it out, Addy," she said, "He was my mate, I betrayed him by marrying Erik and killing him, and now he is back, he is one of the Supremes, he is still my mate and I want him." I just looked at her as it registered and I froze because my vision was coming true, I will die soon.
