DROWNING DESTINY

Chapter 16

As they finally found a covered place to put their tent where they could atleast take a rest for a moment. However, it wasn't enough, they had to found a place where they knew strong enough to protect them.

Now, they were hiding themselves following the ABYSS in the middle of the woodland that seems to be nowhere. ABYSS didn't go down in the proper of the this town called Herria. They were just sighting all the civilians and from the woodland, they got them trapped and stranded in their own home.

6 hours later and they were still exchanging bullets with the terrorists. Naizen was fearlessly entered himself of where the loud shot of the enemy came from. The Herria's school was also got exploded by the terrorists and that made him really want to bring the leader home. Dead or alive.

They already have not less than 10 colleagues that got wounded and as of this moment, he wasn't sure of they are still breathing and fighting for their lives. Naizen was panting following the sound of the gunshots that are pointing in the opposite direction. He was making sure he was able to cover himself with this huge tree of a mahogany.

He roamed his eyes around and he was seeing nobody, he was getting himself away from his colleagues. Gunshots are nonstop and he wouldn't dear of just exchanging bullets without knowing the place of the enemy.

He was about to get out from where he was hiding when all of a sudden, a bullet just hit in the body of the tree. He then gritted his teeth, tightened his jaw and clenched his fist because of that. His eyes narrowed when he heard some footsteps coming over in his direction.

The sound of the crunchy dead leaves was giving him the chance of knowing where was the footsteps coming and it was directly coming over to him. He was hearing 6 footsteps and that, there was 3 persons behind this huge tree he was covering himself. He slowly get his body down and carefully rolled over, he then pulled his gun out and without a second, he blown the heads of whoever is coming over.

Aside of the one that was standing in the middle. At his first glance, he knew this man wasn't an ordinary ABYSS member. He was wearing something of a hat that all the terrorist leader in the picture their official have shown to them. Plus, the ABYSS leader's look was all over the internet. He got the two down and shot the knees of the old one and brought him to his knees.

Naizen carefully checked the perimeter while he was slowly getting closer to the old man. As he reached 1 meter away, he immediately succored the old man whom he got shot both in his knees.

"You know you won't get peace of having me locked for the council, young man," said the old man and pushed his hand away when he was about to get him stood up.

"I am sorry for bursting your bubble sir, but peace exist when you and your group are gone," he seriously said after he realized that he had the leader of the enemy. He has them in his hands. He just got to see this embossed 'ABYSS Father' in his jacket.

He immediately took out the handcuffs and put it on the old man's arm in his back. The old man was trying to get loose but he was strong enough to hold him.

"Just don't waste your strength, sir, you'll die of what you are doing," he said while holding the old man and carefully taking him out of the place.

"Do you really think that your prime minister told you to hunt us because he want peace? Silly! Why are you letting him use yourselves with the fact that he was putting you in front just cover himself," the old man said chuckling.

Naizen just got furious because of his loud sound. He wasn't a cruel person but he has to be careful that no one would hear and see them getting away from here.

"Don't worry, old man, the truth was that, I wasn't serving for the country. I wasn't serving for the council and especially not to the prime minister," he seriously said while still feeling all the sounds near to them.

They were almost got to the where his colleagues are. He had to turn into the opposite so he won't get to face an enemy that turns out for him to get the leader. The ABYSS leader was weighing himself that us now, he was looking he was pulling an animal with all his strength.

He put clothes on the mouth of the old man for him not to make a sound again. The old man was looking at him with so much question in his eyes. After he mentioned that he wasn't serving for any of this old man's target to have, the old man looked at him with disbelief. He wasn't serving for them for he was only serving for his brother — the person he or any of his member killed in the midst of their war.

"Naizen!"

"Alvarez!"

He looked up when he heard his name. He then saw them still in the position while the gunshots and exchange of bullets with the enemy was still going on. He was ducking while pulling the old man really hard.

Sgt. Martinez and Captain Faye Llorente widened their eyes as they saw him pulling someone behind.

"Don't move! Stay in your position!" Captain Llorente shouted when the other team members was about to succored him. "Alvarez! Where did you go? Who do have with you?"

Naizen was panting and was breathing heavily. They came from the upper part of this woodland and he was able to bring the leader down.

"Captain, the head and the voice of ABYSS just fell in my hands," he seriously said that made the captain widened her eyes of what he just heard.

Captain and Sgt. Martinez immediately succored the old man and lifted his head. He was showered with his own blood and there was a chance that this old man will die because of losing it's blood.

"Sh*t!" Captain Llorente cursed after seeing the face of the old man.

"Captain, Alvarez got it right!" Sgt. Martinez said and shockness was drawn all over his face.

Naizen glances Hector and Ellen along with the other team fighting with the enemy. Everyone was tired and some of them got shot as well.

"We have to bring him into the safe place, Tan and De Mesa, cover us!"

Ellen and Hector immediately followed the Captain's command. Hector and Sgt. Martinez was holding the old man while the Captain and Ellen was covering them up. Naizen ducked down when a bomb exploded not so far from them. He gritted his teeth after realizing that the leader was obviously on his way to escape.

Meaning, there was still someone that was running the group and he was still in this woodland. Despite of the fact that he was panting, he again ran without permission even if he knew it was against the rule. He ran again to where he was there earlier. He was just following the small path he made for the driend leaves was shuttered into pieces.

He got reached the direction of where the two company of the ABYSS leader fall down. In this moment, Naizen already knew that the council would order them to retreat anytime for they already have that main target's head — alive.

But he continued walking very carefully of roaming tge whole place around him. He was getting closer to the where was the enemy's gunshots are coming from.

"I am sorry, mom. But I have to do this, I couldn't let this group stay still while Harry was now laying 6ft under the ground," he strongly mumbled himself.

However, his eyes narrowed when he spotted a laying person in the ground of dried leaves. It was looking like a girl and was wearing clothes of a civilian. Terrorist were all over dressed up and this woman was just barely wearing a shirt and a pants on.

He was slowly crawling to this woman's direction pointing his gun on her. Whatever happen, if this girl would show him a move he won't like, he won't take a second and won't have a second thought, he would surely pull the trigger.

He slowly sat down as he reached the woman's direction. A simple pretty face surprised him. He was stunned for a moment looking at this pretty face that really didn't look like a terrorist member. He roamed his eyes around and then checked the body of the woman later on.

He still have to make sure that there was nothing of a threat in this woman.
