Chapter 14

"Don't you think the General's offer was kind off something that would make you stay away from the captain?" said Hector in his very low tone.

Recruits are all over, they were spending their free time in any activities. These people really want to be in here for after the extreme and death defying training activity they don't just a pretty rest. He was wondering why these people want to protect the country when in fact, the country is not protecting them?

"I am not interested with the offer and so, I am not interested with the reason," he responded shrugging.

"She's strong but she also seemed she likes you, brother!" Ellen uttered that made him looked at her with 'are you kidding' look.

"Stop being a psychic, Ellen, you always said that around girls," he said but Ellen just put her arms on her chest crossed and looked at him.

"And there was never a time that I was wrong. I was always right with my woman's instinct, Naizen Alvarez," she added that made Hector smiled in agreement.

"Well, I also heard such thing," Hector joined Ellen to tease him.

"I was wondering why all of a sudden you put your name in the registration and you came here," he told Hector who was just hiding himseld at the back of the other recruit that day when they went to the registration for recruits.

"Come on, you know I can't live my life without you," Hector responded that made him went to face palm.

"Stop shitting the hell out of me. You know I hate it when I cringe," Naizen responded rolling his eyes like how Ellen responded when she's annoyed.

Hector burst into laughter alone while Ellen was looking at him with grimaced and Naizen was just looking at him like he was looking with a crazy person.

"I was still bearing this question of how the f*ck you two get along when you were both crazy? I thought only the opposite do attract," Ellen mumbled.

Hector stopped laughing and was about to speak again when the whistle of the officer sounded so loud. Everyone gathered theirselves together and fall in line.

"Here we go again," Hector mumbled that made Ellen chuckled and Naizen just didn't give any reaction.

They knew Hector didn't like it here. Well, it was kind off true that he only joined because Naizen joined and now he was telling Naizen and Ellen that he found it crazy and want to get out of here with them.

And since Naizen would never go out of here, Hector also changed his mind and now not wanting to get out but always mumbling himself of not wanting to join the training.

"Stop whining you don't look good at that," Ellen whispered and enough for Hector to heard her.

"Attention!" Captain Llorente shouted in her voice that is full of authority. As she called for an attention, everyone stand their back straight and raised their hands to salute. "At ease!"

She was looking so serious like she has something to spill on. Naizen was seriously looking at her waiting to whatever is the next thing she would tell.

"We are done 6 weeks over 10 weeks of training. I want to ask how was your journey here in camp 5" the Captain asked looking at them one by one but her eyes stopped when she spotted Naizen.

Naizen didn't even take his eyes off and now, do seem to have an eye to eye contact with Captain Faye Llorente. He was trying to dig into her eyes deeper and was trying to know whatever her eyes can do.

"Row 1!" Sgt. Martinez shouted and the row 1 immediately answered the captain's question.

It was indeed 6 weeks of training already. But Naizen didn't even feel like he was getting nearer to his goal.

"Just a minute later, we got an order from the head," Captain Llorente spilled and that made everyone looks so serious to listen for the Captain was very serious. "Your training was supposed to end in 10 weeks, however, I don't have the power to reject an order that comes from the head. The small town area Herria is in need of our help for the ABYSS is back and was getting our attention. People in Herria needs protection."

Naizen's attention immediately reacted and gritted his teeth. He even clinched his fist the moment he heard that terrorist name ABYSS. From his peripheral view, he saw how Ellen and Hector reacted. Captain Faye Llorente's eyes went on him and stayed. She seems to be waiting and wanting to see anything that he would possibly react.

He was waiting for the time that he would get a chance to see this ABYSS. He promised himself and Harry and he would end and finish Harry's mission that brought him down. He will do it, by hook or by crook. The fairness of Harry that he was trying to bear with himself, he now couldn't promise that he will be staying fair. He hoped that he will.

"That was the terrorist's name that brought Captain Alvarez down," the other recruit said that made them all looked at him.

"You are right," Captain Llorente responded but was looking at Naizen. "It was the group that brought the life of our Hero down. Now, we are obliged to free the Herria with all our might. Herria's people are now fighting for their lives and they need us. The head was given us the task of doing it. Now, you have 15 seconds to ready everything and I will see you here. Double time!"

Everyone ran for the given time and immediately getting ready for everything that they need to bring. Naizen didn't even bring all his stuff instead, he made sure he won't lack bullets in his bag.

"Teach me on how to be heartless like how they were when they brought you down, Harry," he mumbled while having a double time keeping all the stuffs that he just need.

He saw Ellen and Hector also getting ready and the same with him, they left their other clothes and other stuff that not so needy and only brought the much needed stuff. That's what all that matters.

As everyone gathered themselves in the middle of the camp, the captain was so serious and immediately commanded the team to go to their armoured fighting vehicle. Naizen was looking at their colleagues. Some of them are not yet accustomed in handling guns for 6 weeks is not enough.

This actually wasn't supposed to be right, they weren't well-trained and now they're on their way to conceive in the war between the well known terrorist. On the other hand, he won't complain for he was waiting for this moment. He was waiting to face whoever is the member of that group. He will surely make and give his brother the justice he deserved.
