Falling in Love with the Surrogate

JOSE Ramon Estevez, or Ram as his friends call him wanted to unwind tonight. He had a long day at work. He’s only 22 years old but he feels like he’s closer to 40 years old with how stressed he has been at work. He took over as the President and CEO of his father’s fertilizer business recently when he decided to retire. His dad is only 50 years old but says he wants to enjoy life and go on vacations with his wife while he’s still strong enough to do so. Ram can’t deny his dad’s request. He has been working hard to give them a good life. 

Ram is the only male among five siblings and the middle child. His two elder sisters are both married with kids and have decided to become stay at home wives. His two younger sisters are both abroad and are studying. His parents have decided to stay in the US for the meantime to be with those sisters, while he was left to hold the fort.

Even before Ram graduated from college, he has worked at the business in different capacities. Therefore, he is familiar with the ins and outs of the fertilizer industry and the business. He doesn't mind the work, but he’s having a hard time because he is still adjusting as the the top person in the company. He’s overwhelmed with the responsibilities, and he's stressing himself to do a good job but he doesn’t want to let his dad down. He doesn't want his dad's hard work to go to waste.

Tonight is a Friday, and he doesn’t have to work the next day. So he decided to call in his best buds Ronnie and Emil to unwind. They invited him to a bar that just opened up in the city. He was having shots of Johnny Walker when a very sultry young woman caught his attention. She’s scantily clad in a halter top and a very short skirt, with ankle high boots. She looks so young and sexy, and Ram got turned on right away.

He took another shot of his whisky and headed to the dance floor where the young woman was dancing. He stood behind her and started moving to the music. She started grinding her ass on his crotch, and he felt his hardness growing. He then put his hands around the girl's waist from behind and pulled her towards him as they continued dry humping. Kelly: “I’m Kelly."

Kelly: "Do you want to get out of here?”

Ram: “Sure. Your place or mine?”

Kelly: "Let's go to yours."

As soon as Ram heard it, he took her hand and pulled her outside. He waved goodbye to his friends, and they understood why he needed to go when they saw Kelly in tow. He doesn’t usually pick up girls at bars but really needs to relieve his stress and this girl is so irresistibly sexy. What’s more, she seemed very willing. It didn’t take a lot of effort for him to convince her since she was the one who wanted them to get freaky.

They took a cab since Ram has been drinking and he didn’t want to drive. As soon as they gave the address to the driver, they started making out. Ram is in awe of how hot and wild this girl is. When they got to his condo, they didn’t even make it to the bedroom before they both got naked.

They had a civil ceremony since they wanted to be married before she gave birth. However, Kelly wanted her wedding to be lavish, and Ram just gave in since money is not a problem for him.

Three months into her pregnancy, she had a miscarriage. It was devastating for both of them since they were both excited to start a family. Being still young as they are, the doctor assured them that they can try getting pregnant again after about two years. This should give Kelly’s womb and body the chance to heal.

They stayed together even after miscarriage and Kelly got pregnant again after two years. Two months into the pregnancy, she suffers another miscarriage. They are devastated once more but are determined to keep trying. Their doctor said the body is resilient, and they just need to be patient and keep praying that it will eventually happen. However, she also mentioned that mentally and emotionally, it might be harder for them to recover, particularly for Kelly. She advised Ram to support her with whatever she needs. It was during this time that Ram realized that he has grown to love his wife.

A year after, Kelly got pregnant once more. They are very excited and made sure to do everything right to keep the baby safe. The doctor even put Kelly on bed rest for the duration of the pregnancy just to be sure. It was hard to keep her in one place though, and she keeps complaining that she gets bored just staying in bed the whole day. She even demanded that Ram stay with her while she's pregnant. Although he wants to, he cannot stop working since he's the head of the company. He made sure to come home early every time, and took as much time off as he could. 

On the fourth month of Kelly's pregnancy, she slipped on the floor while going down the stairs. She fell on her butt and because of the impact, she bled out and lost her baby once more.

After her third miscarriage, Kelly has started going out to clubs and partying once more. She argued that she can't just stay home and be depressed as she might end up killing herself eventually. She usually comes home late, when he's already asleep, so they rarely have a chance to even sleep together. During those times that Ram has asked to have s*x with her, she denied him, always saying that she's too tired or is not in the mood.

Kelly made it clear that she doesn't want to get pregnant again. She even started going on birth control although they rarely have s*x anymore. Ram pleaded with her, but she insisted that her body cannot handle any more stress and another possible miscarriage. They consulted a reproductive health expert, and they were advised to hire a surrogate mother to carry their baby full term.

The doctor explained that she can fertilize Kelly’s egg with that of Ram’s sperm, and then implant it into a healthy womb. The doctor explained that there are women willing to do that for cash. 

They can start the procedure by harvesting Kelly's eggs and then putting them in cold storage. Ram will need to ejaculate some of his sperm later, which can be used to fertilize Kelly's eggs. Once they have an embryo, this can be implanted to a viable womb.

By now, Ram really wants to have a child since he’s close to 30 years old and did not want to be an old dad. Kelly was hesitant. Since their last miscarriage, they have only had s*x twice. She keeps saying that there’s still the risk of her getting pregnant even if she’s on birth control and even if he uses protection if they kept on sleeping together.

Ram understands how difficult the miscarriages have been to his wife and he didn't want to push her into another pregnancy. This is why he felt that if they wanted to have a kid, surrogacy is their best option. Ram talked to Kelly and convinced her of this fact. Kelly was hesitant at the beginning, but eventually relented, and they made plans on how to go about it.

After the eggs have been harvested and frozen, they proceeded to look for a surrogate mother. They wanted a stranger, preferably in her early 20’s. They also wanted someone who’s never been pregnant before. They also prefer someone who’s never had s****l inte*course before. Although the doctor said that someone who's been pregnant before is a better choice, Ram wanted to reduce the risk of her having any sexually transmitted diseases so he made this choice. The potential surrogate must also be willing to go through and pass a thorough medical exam to ensure she’s healthy.

For all these, they are willing to pay the surrogate one million pesos. She can get half when she gets pregnant, and the other half when she gives birth. The contract will last for a year since they might need her to breastfeed the baby once they get born.

Ram posted an ad online and crossed his fingers hoping for the best.
