Ping The elevator door made a noise indicating I got to the floor, I didn’t bother asking the receptionist his office, I just walked into the elevator, my boss has already informed me where the office would be and I don’t have time for the typical receptionist drama, where I would ask his office and she would be f*****g rude and would tell me to come back some other time he is not around, I was late and every minute was precious. God please I just hope he would still be around, I would be damned if he had left already. “The last door by the left.” My boss’s voice rings into my ear, I walked past his secretary who yelled and called me back but instead I ignored her and walked away, once I got to his door. The name plate shined “Alexander Ricci.” Oh a male Ricci, let’s hope he is not a b***h like his sister. I laid a knock on the door and I heard a faint ‘come in’ Walking in, I was welcomed by a blue interior design that covered the whole room, wasn’t what I was expecting but okay, the whole room was filled with a manly scent and it’s a dominating aura around it, the blue wallpapers complimented the white leather chairs, nothing was girly about the room, it was beautiful, I never liked blue but f**k this is making me want to paint my whole room blue. “She barged in sir, I’m sorry I couldn’t stop her.” We heard a voice from his door, his f*****g secretary, what’s her problem. “I didn’t barge in, I just didn’t acknowledge your presence,” I mumbled. “Next time I would be calling security.” His secretary said, I rolled my eyes and focused back on the interior design. “It’s fine Lindsey, you can leave,” Alexander said, hearing the door close, I focused back on the designs. “If you are done checking out my office, I hope you can inform me what brings you here?.” He said. Fuck, he has an admirable voice and he is polite, unlike someone. “I apologize, Mr.Ricci, I’m been sent by the hotel enterprise to get this signed.” I laid the document on the desk in-front of him. I didn’t even bother to look up to see his face, I know he would probably yell at me for being late or getting me fired by his sister. “It’s fine.” He said. “Next time just don’t be this late.” Okay, now there is no way he is related to Rose. “What?.” I blurted out, I raised my chin and I was met by a good-looking man, his face, his lips, his beautiful eyes, he looked like a dream, the kind of dream I never want to wake up from. His black hair complimented his beard, his full pink lips, and his perfect jawline. “Miss stones.” He said making me blink my eyes. “I apologize.” I quickly said I’m so used to saying sorry because of his stupid sister. “What were you saying, Sir?.” I asked politely. “I have signed it, it’s fine if you were late. I said next time try not to be late.” “So you are not angry and you won’t have me fired,” I asked with disbelieve written all over my face. “No, you got the documents before the end of the day so it’s fine.” He replied. “How the f**k are you related to Rose?.” I muttered to myself. “I ask myself the same question.” He replied, f**k he heard me, I hope he doesn’t tell his sister, she would kill me if she finds out I said something like that to her sibling. “No worries, I won’t tell her anything.” I collected my file and I got out of the office, Alexander Ricci is definitely not was I was expecting, he is sweet, nice and he has an amazing character, I just spent not up to ten minutes with him and I can tell he is a great person. I got a cab and drove back to the office, God saves me I just hope she doesn’t fire me today. I got to the office, and everyone glanced at me as I walked into the elevator, f**k I know I’m late, her f*****g personal assistant is late and we all know her behavior. I got to the fifth floor and I walked, her secretary was the first person I saw. “She is going to kill me,” I whispered to Sara. “She is not here,” Sara replied. “You have got to be kidding me, where is she?.” I asked. “She didn’t come to work today.” That’s weird, Rose has never missed work since I started working here and that has been a year ago, she doesn’t get sick and she is always here. “Why?.” I asked. “I got a phone call from her this morning saying she won’t be here and you should submit the signed document to the finance department,” Sara said. Thank Goodness, she would have killed me I was late with getting the signing and I just got to the office. “Okay.” I smiled as I walked to the finance department, I submitted the file and got back into my office, it’s weird not having her here today, not that I’m sad, I’m very happy she ain’t here but it’s just she is always at work and today she decides not to come, something doesn’t add up. I focused back on my work and for the first time in one year, I was happy while working, I finished drafting all her documents, created her schedule for next week, and made sure to send her all the important documents regarding today’s work. I got out of the office very early and decided to make a stop by the cafe, I sent a quick text to Josh telling him I would soon be home and decided to get myself dinner before I leave. Alexander’s POV I got to the office in a very bad mood, I wasn’t the type of boss that yelled or vented my anger on my employee, I always made sure to get my anger in check and avoid everyone if I was mad. I respected all my workers and they did the same, though I never yelled at them they knew better not to mess with me and to give respect at all costs. Getting into my office, I asked Lindsey to make sure no one disturbs me. I stood by the end of the window watching everyone work when I noticed a girl walk into the office, she looked like she was rushing, she ignored the calls of the receptionist and got into the elevator. She looked f*****g beautiful with her pencil skirt and Damien’s shirt. I sat on the chair, who ever she is I would be informed if it was important, I tried to focus on work but my mind kept on wandering off to her. Fuck. I sat back on my chair and closed my eyes, when I heard a knock, I was expecting it to be Lindsey but it was her, she walked in looking at my office, her full focus was on my office and the designs on the walls. I watched as she ignored my existence and focused on the designs. Lindsey walked in looking annoyed, the girl didn’t bother she broke some rules and I could report her to her boss, the walls intrigued her and she intrigued me. Fuck, I have never found myself staring at a girl like this. “It’s fine Lindsey, you can leave,” I said. I looked back at the girl. “If you are done checking out my office, I hope you can inform me what brings you here?.” She stared at me as if she was shocked I was polite. She gave me a file, oh she worked with Rose, her name was on the file. Miss. Stones, I wonder what her first name is. She was surprised I won’t get her fired and I won’t report her to rose after the made the statement of how I’m related to Rose, I’m not surprised, it’s not the first time I’m hearing something like that, Rose was rude to everyone I’m still shocked how she has friends. Miss. Stones smiled now and then after I signed I didn’t want her to leave so I pretended as if I was reading the document but I was staring at her face. It’s weird how I have never felt like this for any body.
