“Hey!” I looked over my shoulder, spotting Everly in the room Ronan and I shared. Since my heat, I had slept in the bed, but Ronan never spent much time in the room. He always had some work to do or decided to crash in his office.
“Hey,” I greeted.
“So, I hear we are attending a party tonight.”
“You’re coming?” I inquired excitedly.
I really didn’t want to go to this ball the council had invited Ronan to, but since I was technically the queen, I had to attend. Knowing Everly was coming too made the whole night so much better. Ronan had been pretty clear though. I was not allowed to train with Everly again, but I might have done it once or twice behind his back.
“Well, I might just want to stir up a little trouble,” she remarked.
“Oh, please say you do!”
