Chapter 13
Tommy paced along the floor of his room, considering his few options. Surely it was no coincidence that Griffin turned himself invisible the same weekend that his professor was strangled to death. Could he be the only one who knew about Griffin’s actions, or even suspected him? But he didn’t know if Griffin was the culprit. Maybe the Cuss guy had come at him. Maybe Cuss wanted to steal his formula. Or, what if Cuss had helped him and someone else was killing for Griffin’s secrets?
And if there was someone else involved, did they know about Tommy? Would he wind up just as dead for Griffin’s secrets?
Someone banged on his door and Tommy jumped back.
“Hello?” he asked, voice shaky.
