chapter 5

Emily.. 7 Years later. It had been seven years since the Lycan Alpha saved me. The only way to repay him was to marry him. After a few years, he tragically passed away in battle, leaving me to become the next Alpha of the Lycan pack. I gave birth to a son and named him Dean. I watched him grow into a handsome young man, promising myself never to reveal the identity of his real father. Sitting on my throne, I watched the door open and my beta walked in, bowing before me. "Alpha Emily, we have received a message from the Crimson Pack about making peace. I decided to inform you before taking any action," my beta said. I smiled knowingly. It had been a long time since I heard the name Crimson Pack. Slowly standing up, I walked towards my beta and fixed my gaze upon him. "So, the Crimson Pack wants peace with us. Their Alpha is so weak that he can't face a woman in battle? Well, if they seek peace, he will have to come to me, kneel, and beg for forgiveness," I declared. I saw the surprise on my beta's face at my words, and he spoke up, "Alpha, perhaps he only wants to avoid unnecessary bloodshed." Grabbing my beta by his shirt, I stared him down and said firmly, "I don't care if it's peace or war. If he can't accept peace, he will have to face the consequences. Send a message to him that this is my decision, or things will only get worse with each passing day." As I watched him bow and walk away, a smile played on my lips. The Crimson Pack would suffer, and this time it was my turn to strike back and teach their Alpha a lesson he would never forget. I couldn't believe he would get married to Lia. Why should I care? I married the Lycan Alpha, so there was nothing for me to worry about. Like what you do to me, I will do it back to you. "Are you really going to be this way, Emily? I thought you had forgotten about everything. Are you trying to start a war with your mate?" Nana said, trying to reason with me. I felt anger surge within me at Nana's words, and I replied sharply, "He is no longer my mate. Why can't you stop thinking about him? I will make him suffer, make him regret the day he caused me pain. I will show him that I am no longer the weak and disgraced Emily he kicked out. I will show him that I am the one in charge now, possessing power that he can't even imagine. Now, it's my turn to make him feel pain and regret his decision to reject me." I walked over to my room and sat down, staring into the mirror. The moment had arrived; this time, I would watch him beg on his knees. I would do the same thing he did to me. After a while, the door opened, and Dean rushed into my arms. "Mommy, today was fun," I heard him say as I smiled and placed my hand on his face. Every time I looked at him, it felt like I was staring right into Drake, but I wanted to forget about him no matter what. He was not meant to be the one I should be thinking about. "Did your training go well?" I ask him, and he nodded with a smile. "Yes, Mom, no one was stronger than me. I defeated them all. Mom, when I grow up, I want to be a great ruler like you." I smiled at him and placed a kiss on his forehead and spoke, "You're already great, my son. You are perfect, more perfect than anyone. You are my star and my world, and I will make sure to guide you to the right path so you won't make a mistake. Now, why don't you go take a rest in your room? If you need anything, do not forget to reach out to the maids, okay?" He nodded and smiled, and I looked at the door to see my beta standing there, and then I turned back to Dean. "Okay, why don't you go now? I want to speak with my beta." "Okay, Mom," he said, and he walked away. I sat there, looking back at the mirror, and then watched as my beta stood behind me. "Alpha Emily, I have sent word to the Crimson Alpha, and he asks if you would like to have a meeting with him. I think he must have accepted your request." I smiled, just listening to those words, and I turned to look at my beta. "Very good, then send another word to him that I, Alpha of the Lycan Pack, will step foot into the land of the Crimson Pack, that I will arrive and meet him there." My beta walks away and bows at me as I turn back and stare into the mirror. I couldn't believe he would accept my words so easily. He had always said he didn't want me to step into the crimson pack. I think it's time to step forward and see how it goes. I feel empowered and unafraid, ready to confront anyone. It's time to teach him a lesson he'll never forget. I, Emily, Alpha of the Lycan pack, fear no one. It's my time to strike back and teach him a significant lesson. Just wait, Drake. I'm coming back, your rejected mate is coming back... I stand up and walk out of my room, heading to the balcony to gaze out. If I had been told that one day I would be the owner of this pack, I wouldn't have believed it. Who could have thought that a lone wolf would one day become the alpha and earn respect? Now, I have arrived to teach them all a lesson they will never forget.
