“Oh.” Very much surprised, Xian looked at the other Asian guy more closely. Aside from his height and his build, which seemed to be that of an athlete, he also had a good set of features.
‘But would he look good in a wig…?’ Xian found himself wondering before quickly catching himself and answering out loud, “I’m going there too, actually. Let’s go together.”
The guy’s bland expression didn’t change much as he nodded and said, “Thanks.”
In complete and, at least in Xian’s part, awkward silence, they began walking together. Even though Xian was walking fast, the other guy didn’t even break a sweat keeping pace with him.
“So, uh… you going to audition?” Xian finally asked. At the same time, he wondered, ‘Are outsiders even allowed to?’
“Guess I am,” the guy replied noncommittally.
