Chapter 7At eight-thirty later that morning, Wes is woken up by somebody waiting right underneath the trees next to the entrance tent. The person just sits there, touching the bark with one hand. Are they waiting? Wes doesn’t know but he’s cranky about it. So Wes leaves the bed, makes a genuine effort to gather some clothes, lets it lapse halfway, gets as far as the room’s door, and then goes back for a kiss. He can’t be expected to do this today with any sort of politeness. It’s the kind of day that’s more of a shittier continuation of a shitty one. Wes leans over, presses his lips to Ollie’s cheek, lingers, and then he’s gone. When Wes passes through the entrance tent that he realizes he only stopped for pants. It’s…fine. He couldn’t do better, so what’s the point of being tough on him
