The warriors left for the castle up north. The ball is approaching but Damon has yet to tell his family about his mate. Is he ashamed of her? Is he hiding something from her?

The bus came to a Holt in front of the castle. Warriors started pouring out. Once everyone was out and shivering while I stood on the steps in front of everyone.

"Welcome to the Northern castle. Here you will be doing your final training. You've all come a long way. Certain warriors will receive a letter to join the Royal pack. You have to work extremely hard. Here you will be able to have the same room as your mate. follow all the rules and respect everyone here. There will be a welcome ball tonight which everyone is expected to attend. Tomorrow you will have the day of from training and there will be picnics at the enchanted beaches." I announced.

They were escorted to their rooms. I went to mine to find Damon.

"How did you find my Chambers?" I raised an eyebrow and leaned against the bed post.

"I just followed your scent." He replied smugly.

"Wow. That easy." I said smiling. I wrapped my arms around him.

"Do want to tell everyone about us." I asked.

"How about we show them."

"I like that plan." I kissed him.

I stood in front of the mirror. I had a maroon and wine ombre colored dress that flared with a peach blossom. I finished my make up and hair. It was time.

I looked at Damon who wore a perfectly tailored suit that made him look ravishing.

We had a plan tonight to show everyone that we were mates. We walked to the ball room separately.

I felt everyone's eyes on me we I walked in. I saw Damon talking to some of the guys.

"Evie you look beautiful." I turned to see Alexander, my fathers betas son. He was Mateless and wanted me to change that.

Let me explain. Alex wanted to mate and mark me as his. I didn't want that, he tried to persuade me but it did work out in his favor.

"Evie please baby, we can be together."

"Alex no." He started to kiss my neck.

"Alex please stop, your not my mate."

"But i can be."

"How?"

"I know a witch. We can be together." I pulled me to him. I pushed him off immediately.

"I don't want that. I want the one who was made for ME." I walked out of that place.

Alex trailed me.

"Fine I will win your heart." He said.

"Alex what are you doing here." I asked backing away slowly. I was very cautious around him.

"What? Can't I come see my best friend." He said. I looked at him in disbelief.

"After what happened last time, No you can't." I said firmly.

"I'll do exactly what I said." He said stepping closer. I moved my neck to expose my mark. He narrowed his eyes.

"You have a mate." He said more than asked.

"Yes I do."

"I could easily take him."

"I don't care. He is mine and I'm his." I was pulled against a chest.
