As I was laying in bed after my alarm had went off. It was quarter to 6 am. I heard my father was up moving around downstairs. As I was about to get up and take a shower, my phone had gone off, it was an unknown number/private.
But I still end up answering it because only numbers that come up like that was the military.
"Hello?"
"Major Gibbs, I have a job for you. I need you to fly with the President of the United States, on air force one." A lady had told me on the phone.
It was the one and only secretary of the White House. I don't ask questions, I just do what I am told.
"Okay, I'll let my job know I'm going on leave." I had told her.
"Good. Meet at the airport at 0730, in your military uniform. You will be helping the other military ops, just stay close and keep watch." The lady had said, then hung up.
Well here we go, first day of working, just not my new job. One thing about the military, they call you jump. No matter what it is. Expressly for the President of the United States.
I got up from the bed, took a quick hot shower, then put on my military uniform on. I made sure I was ready and fit for looking good for the President.
I grabbed my bag put some stuff in it, grab my gun, put in the back of my pants, the box of bullets in my bag.
I dialed the director Morrow number as I was walking down the stairs.
"Good morning Kelly, hope your ready to start your first day with us." He had said as he answered the phone.
"Yea I was, but I can't. I have to be on air force one at 0730." I told him.
"Oh well get there and be good. Give us a call first if anything happens." He told me.
I hung up the phone put it my bag and went to the fridge to grab a water. As I closed the fridge my father was standing on the other side of it.
"You don't have to wear that to work, you know." He told me.
"I know, but I'm not going to work with you today. I have to be somewhere at 0730." I told him.
"Military stuff." He asked.
Least he knew when it came to the military, you can't say no. You have to drop everything else. Even if you out of the service, you still have to do other things for them.
"Yes, I'll talk to you later. Morrow knows so." I said as I grabbed my keys and ran to the car.
As I got in, I drove to the airport as fast as I could. Getting there 10 minutes to spare, but I done a look down in the car before I parked it. I grabbed my NCIS badge and put it in my bag and grabbed my military ID, put my hat on, and walked to the plane.
When I got there, what military there was they had saw me and present arms at me.
"As you were." I told them.
I aboard the plane, setting my bag in a chair close to where the president was going to be at and looked around on the plane. I looked and saw it was 0730 and went back outside to meet up with the President and the special forces.
I stood at the end of the stairs when they showed up. The head security got out of the car and head my way as the others got out and got with the President.
"Major Gibbs, I heard you were going to be with us today." The man had said.
"Yes, I got the phone call this morning." I told him.
"Good, I'm Agent William Bear, I'm the Head Agent." Agent Bear had said.
"The plane and area is secured, Agent Bear. I done that while I was waiting for you guys to get here."
"Good. Is the Marine here that's going to be right next the President here other than you?" He asked me.
I didn't know, until a male Marine came walking over to us.
"Here sir." The man had said as he saluted us. "Major Gibbs, nice to have you with us and I'm glad to be joining you as well." The Commander had said.
"Commander," I looked at his name tag, "Trapp, its a pleasure."
"Pleasure is all mine."
A woman and a few men came walking with President George W. Bush to the plane. Both me and the Commander and the other military saluted him when I had called it.
"Present arms." I called out.
As we present arms to the President, he done it as well. I ordered arms and talked to the President.
"Ah Major Gibbs, so nice to see you again. I heard you were back home and asked for you generally." Bush had said.
"President Bush, its an Honor to join your side. This is Commander Trapp and he's going to be by your side at all times. While I walk the plane." I had told him.
Commander Trapp ordered arms and shook Bush's hand when he held out his hand to him.
"Its an Honor sir." Trapp had said.
"Yes, it is." Bush told him.
Bush, Trapp, and the men had walked up into the plane while the woman and Agent Bear was still outside.
When Bush was inside plane, I done an about face and faced the other military saluters.
"Ordered arms." I called out. "Thank you gentlemen, you may go as you are." I told them.
The men had put their arms down and went inside the plane. I turned around and faced Bear and the woman.
"Major Gibbs, this is my top agent, Agent Kate Todd." Bear had said.
I nodded and shook Agent Todd's hand. "Nice to meet you Agent Todd."
"You as well, Major Gibbs. And thank you for your services for this country." Todd had said.
"Major, you will be alone side with Agent Todd for this trip. As she says goes, I'll be with the President in his office." Bear had said.
I nodded and they went onto the plane. I done a last look through around the area, then got onto the plane as well. I looked at the woman that was standing by the door and nodded at her to let her know it was good to go.
I walked to the back and sat down across from Todd. She was on her PDA.
I took off my hat and sat it on top of my bag and leaned back. I grabbed a magazine that was sitting on the side table and was looking through it.
As we took off, in the air, the Commander came out. I looked at him and smiled.
"So Commander, he kick you out already?" I had asked.
He laughed a little. "Naw, I came out to use the bathroom then tell someone that the President is hungry." He had said.
"Ah, gotcha." I had said.
He walked away and I went back to what I was doing. After a few moments, Trapp went back to Bush and an airplane attendant behind him.
"So, Major Gibbs. How long was you in the military? If you don't mind me asked."
"For about 3-4 years. I went in straight after college."
"How did you become the rank you are just in 4 years. Don't it take awhile."
"Yes it does, but I was in ROTC in high school and in college plus my father was a marine and I got my masters when I graduated college."
"When did you get out of the military?" She had asked.
"Oh, so now what are you doing since your out other than this?"
"I started working with my father and his team. They are like military cops. You'll know them once you spot them." I had said laughing a little.
"Oh," she said at first. "So what made you join your father's team? Ain't that kinda against the rules of having family in the same team or job?" She asked me.
"Hmm," I hummed. "I don't think so and if it is, our director he likes to pull strings. Makes sure he has the best and gets the best. Plus I've known him my whole life. My Father's team kinda helped raised me. Since my mother passed away when I was young. So were all like family." I explained to her.
She nodded her head at me and went back to what she was doing. I got up to stretch my legs, this flight was taking forever. So I walked around and about on the plane. When I got back to my seat, I saw Bear talking to Todd.
"I'll be in the Comm. getting an update from Bowman. Keep an eye on things down here." Bear had told Todd when I sat down. "You expecting a problem, sir?" We both had asked him.
Bear turns back to face her us. "Expect problems, Agent Todd, Major Gibbs. And with a little luck, you'll never loose the President."
Bear jogs up a flight of stairs to the next deck. Todd looks down and smiles ruefully. Moments later, Cmdr. Trapp enters the room with the Football in hand. I looked up and smiled at him. He moves slowly, almost shuffling. He stumbles, dropping the briefcase. Kate looks at him in concern. Cmdr. Trapp stares at his hand, flexing his fingers. He turns and flashes a grin at Kate.
"I fumbled in my first Army-Navy game, but," he says as picks up his briefcase. "I recovered the ball." Cmdr. Trapp carefully places the Football beside a chair while Kate looks on, then turns to offer her his hand. "Ray Trapp."
They shakes hands. "Kate Todd."
Trapp's face flushed red, sweating. "Eating with the President was... a bigger sweat than... making a ni-night.
Cmdr. Trapp collapses into his seat. I got up and started to walk over to him. Both me and Todd was concerned.
"Are you ill, Commander?" I had asked.
Cmdr. Trapp starts going into convulsions, falling to the floor. Kate gets up to help him, issuing orders through her wrist comm. As I kneeled down.
"Slammer Rose for a medical emergency, section one." While I try to stabilize Cmdr. Trapp's head, Agent Bear rushes back down the stairs.
"What's wrong?"
"We don't know."
Three medics come running down the aisle. Kate stands back to give them room. While I stay put. He was like one of my men, I had to stay with him. That's what military do. They stick with their kind.
"What've you got?"
"He's not breathing."
"No pulse."
"Give me the bag."
Everything was happening so fast. I couldn't keep up, I started having flash backs of when this had happened with Ryan.
The doctor gets up to grab the medical bag, when Todd suddenly realises something. That's when she had pulled me back in.
"Doctor! He just had lunch with the President." Todd told him.
"Oh my god!"
"Let's go." Then looks to Todd and I. "You stay with the Football."
As the doctor and Agent Bear run off to check on the President, Todd reaches over and takes the briefcase back over to her seat out of the way. The other two medics are still working on Cmdr. Trapp. One medic is straddling his body doing CPR, the other rhythmically squeezing an air bag over his mouth.
"Halt compressions, let's check his pulse." She had said.
The female medic removes the air bag to check his pulse. Todd looks on worriedly, from her chair, while me helping as I can to get my man back and going. When we look back at Cmdr. Trapp we see he's started foaming at the mouth.
"There's no pulse."
"Let's get his shirt off."
The girls say. Then one of the girls starts cutting his shirt off with scissors. But it was taking to long so I pushed their hands away and grabbed the shirt and ripped it. Todd watches anxiously, as we worked on him.
"Trapp, come on buddy. I can't loose you now." I had said.
The girls looked at me about after 3 minutes later of him not coming back or showing any signs. I took a deep breath then looked at Todd. The doctor and Bear came back to us. I looked at them and shook my head.
"Major, go get washed up. I'll call this in." He had told me. "I'll tell the pilot to take us to the nearest airport, which is Wichita, Kansas, so we can get the president on the next flight out."
I nodded then got up and walked to the wash room. I washed my hands for about 5 minutes, making sure I had everything off of me from touching him. I sat on the toilet for a moment thinking what just happened.
I reached into my pocket, grabbed my phone and called Morrow.
"Kelly, is everything okay?" He asked me on the 3rd ring.
"No. Dead Cmdr on air force one. Send the team, we're heading to Wichita, Kansas so the president can get on another plane."
"Copy that. Just hang in there sweetie." He told me.
"I had the flashback again." I told him. "I was looking at the Cmdr and I thought it was Ryan." I had said, trying not to tear up. "I even told him I didn't want to lose him."
"Honey, PTSD is hard. But every single thing is going to be okay. We'll get through this together." He told me. "Until then, make sure no one touches that body until your father gets there."
"Yes, sir." I had said then hung up the phone.
I walked out of the wash room and headed back to Cmdr Trapp. He was now overed up in a sheet.
Todd was sitting in one of the seats in the back away from the body. When she had saw me coming over she looked at me. I smirked a little.
Bear came walking down the stairs and looked at me when he took the last step.
"You okay Major?" He asked me.
"I'll be find. Just a little PTSD."
"I heard you say, " I don't want to lose you too.", what did you mean by that?" Todd asked me.
I looked at Todd then Bear. "My 2nd year in the military, one of my Father's men came and helped us with a terrorist. I didn't know which one of his men he had sent over. But when they got there it was my boyfriend. No one knew about us really other then the director. We was on the road when we got ambushed and he had saved my life from getting shot from the behind and died in my arms. So it takes a toll on me still but I am handling it." I had said.
Todd looked sorry for me and Bear he looked like he knew what I was going through.
"PTSD isn't fun to deal with, trust me. I've done 3 tours." He told me. "But we'll be landing soon. The FBI has been notified and they are meeting us at Wichita, Kansas." Bear had told us.
"Well I have notified my team as well. They will be meeting us there as well." I had said.
"Your team?" Bear had asked.
"Yes, my team deals with military personal. Have you heard of NCIS?" I asked.
"Yes. I heard of them. I just didn't know you worked for them." Bear had said.
"Today was suppose to been my first day, but I was called in for this. Which my director had understood."
Bear nodded and went to where the President was at. I just sat back and waited for us to land.

When we had landed, Bear and the others got Bush off the plane and onto the next one. I was going to go with them, but since I'm military and the highest rank on the plane I had to stay with him. Not just because my team was coming, but he was one of my men. Todd stayed behind as well since it happened on her watch. I walked around the plane making sure everyone was off other than me and Todd.
The coroner of Wichita, Kansas showed up, along with the FBI close by. The coroner had stopped the FBI from doing anything to the body.
"Now why can't we look at the body?" One of the FBI agents had said.
"Well agent, "
"Agent Fornell, I have a special doctor coming here and they should be here any moment." The coroner had told him.
This agent wasn't having it nor was he happy so I had step in the middle of it. I was the higher up on the plane.
"Excuse me Agent Fornell, no one is touching my body until my people show up." I had said.
"Your body, your people." He had said a little pissed off.
"Yes my body, my people. This is my crime scene, my military personal that died on my watch. I'm the highest rank on this plane now since the president had left." I said as I stood over the body.
"Military or not, you don't control me or this jurisdiction. Your jurisdiction doesn't supersede the FBI on Air Force One."
Kate interrupting from her seat, hidden behind everyone else. "It's not Air Force One, Agent Fornell." The men move to clear a path for her. "When the President departed on the backup plane, it became Air Force One. This is now Alpha Foxtrot 2900."
"Don't get into this pissing contest, Agent Todd. As you pointed out, the President's gone, it's no longer a Secret Service problem." Agent Fornell said.
"Look. This could be a natural death, or it could be a botched attempt to murder the President. Until I know which, it's my problem." Agent Todd said.
"Uh, I don't give a damn which one of you is boss. You ain't moving this body until the M.E. says you can." The coroner had said.
"Exactly, and don't you ever talk to Agent Todd like that again Agent Fornell." I had said as I got in his face. "I am military police personal, you respect me."
Agent Fornell looked more pissed off that not just getting into his face, but a woman telling him what to do. I looked at Todd and she smiled a little bit.
That's when I heard someone else come in the plane.
"All these LEOs are contaminating the potential crime scene." My father had said. "And your standing over the body."
I step to the side and looked at my father.
"Well hello to you too, father." I had said.
"Father!" Agent Fornell and Agent Todd had said at the same time.
"Kelly, what are you doing here?" He asked me.
"Well I was flying with Bush until this happened. I was his head military protection officer. I'm the one that called this in to Morrow." I had said.
"Wait your your father is on your team?" Fornell spoke.
"Yes," I had said.
"Everyone who boarded in Wichita will have to evacuate the plane." Ducky had said.
"I'm not going anywhere." Fornell had said.
"I flew in on it." Todd said.
"Very well, you two can stay. But everyone else must deplane." Ducky told everyone else.
"Alright, you heard the M.E., let's move it boys. Ducky, what do you think?"
Ducky examining the body. "No outward sign of trauma."
"He was stricken after having lunch with the President." Todd had said.
"Yeah, how is the President?" Tony asked.
"He's fine. His physician cleared him to fly on to L.A." Todd had said.
"Yea, Bush was fine." I had said.
"What happened?" My dad had asked us.
Both Kate and Fornell look askance at Gibbs's softly-voiced question, but Gibbs just stares placidly at them. After a moment, Todd answers.
"When the Commander returned from lunch, he had an equilibrium problem and his grip was too weak to hold his briefcase." Todd said.
"Yea, he dropped that and the football. He brought up something about never dropping the ball when he played army football games." I said.
"Did he gradually become ill, or was it sudden?" Ducky asked. "Sudden." Both Todd and I had said then she added more. "He started to convulse and collapsed. The President's physician believed that the Commander had a stroke." Todd said.
Tony was taking notes. "Kinda young for a brain fart."
"Tony! Respect the dead." I had told him.
Ducky looked at his friend. "Looks like a natural death to me, Elmo. They can leave with the body as long as they sign releases."
Fornell looked at Elmo. "Why the hell didn't you say that?"
"Couldn't. Like I said, it's the M.E.'s decision. Release forms are in my car." Elmo had told him.
"Look, you don't have to be rude or such a d**k. He was doing his job." I had said.
"Excuse me," Fornell had said. "Kelly, that was no called for." My father had said.
"No, I've had it with him since he came on my plane and try to take over."
Fornell looked at me for a moment then to Todd". Let's go. We can work out jurisdiction for Washington on the flight to Dallas."
Todd glances at Gibbs before leaving. The look on her face is inscrutable.
I crossed my arms and stared at my father and Tony as they talked about what was going to happened. Then Todd came back on the plane with her gun up. That made my grab mine.
"Woah, hey now. We don't need this." My father had said as he had put his hands up between me and Todd. "Lower you guns girls."
"I will when she does." I had said.
"I will when y'all tell me who the hell you guys are really. Because you sure ain't the M.E.'s helper."
"We're NCIS agents, Gibbs's and DiNozzo. From Washington DC." My father showing Todd his badge.
"I told you I was an NCIS agent and that I work with my father. I clearly called his father when he first got on, Todd." I had said.
"I know. Just making sure." She said as she lowered her gun.
I done the same and out it in the back on my pants.
"Sorry. First the FBI tries to muscle in, and now NCIS." Todd had said.
"I had said my team was coming." I spoke up as my father was walking over to her.
"Yeah, well, I do believe this is a dead naval officer." He had said.
"Who died on Air Force One, after having lunch with the President it's my job to protect."
"Okay, we can share jurisdiction. You can be on my team."
"What?" I had said.
"Your team? Why should you head the investigation?" She had said.
"You ever worked a crime scene, Agent Todd?" He asked her.
"I am a Secret Service agent."
My father and I smirks. "I thought not." He had said.
I started to chuckle a little at that.
"Well don't dismiss me like that! Okay, I earned my jock-strap." She had said.
"Yeah, does it ever give you that empty feeling?" My father had said back.
"What?"
"Your jock-strap."
"No. Like some species of frogs, I grow what I need." She smiles brightly after saying that.
I started quietly laughing to myself after that. Damn I like her. And I'm guessing so did my father. My father smirks at her, obviously impressed and enjoying the exchange. Then Tony interrupts, scrambling down the stairs.
"Gibbs! Pilot won't take off until the Secret Service chick gives us the," looks at Todd. "thumbs up."
Kate smirks at my father. "I think that just made it my team." She said.
Oh s**t she didn't, just say that.
"No. It means we'll just have to h****k Air Force One. Tony, escort Agent Todd off this aircraft and close the hatch." My father orders DiNozzo.
Kate says incredulous. "You're not serious. Wait!" She says as she chases after my father, up the stairs. "Okay, okay! Your team, but only because I don't want to delay us further by having to shoot you." Kate offers her hand to seal the deal, she and my father shake on it.
Outside the plane, Fornell is running up the steps to the hatch when Tony suddenly appears in front of him.
"Damnit, Agent Todd, let's get this show on the road!" Fornell says as he was about to push through DiNozzo.
"Oh gosh, I'm sorry. We, uh, overbooked the flight." DiNozzo says as he closes hatch.
"What the hell are you doing?" Fornell yells at DiNozzo.
As the plane starts to taxi away, Tony looks out a window and waves at the thwarted FBI agents. I started laughing as I saw Fornell yelling at the people on the ground.
As my father and DiNozzo work, collect evidence on the plane from the Presidents room where he and Trapp was eating.
As my father was peeing, both DiNozzo and Ducky was taking turns sitting in the Presidents chair, taking pictures of each other. I shook my head and started chuckling.

After those two fooling around, they bagged and tagged everything that was in the Presidents room. The food and everything that Trapp and Bush had touched. After Todd getting sick from my father putting the food in the evidence bags, he ran after her to make sure she threw up in an evidence bag as well. I almost got sick watching her do that.
Ducky had checked her out and told her she didn't have a fever, it was just a stomach bug. She explained to my dad how she had got it. I sat in a chair over hearing them talk about it. I guess that Trapp was filling in for another Major. Major Timothy Kerry. I just don't get why they would want two Major's on the plane for. But Major Kerry had the flu so he couldn't make it and apparently, Todd and him are seeing each other.
Once we had landed, my father, Ducky, and I had took the body while the FBI had took DiNozzo in a body bag. I thought it was quite funny. Todd had went her way with her people once we landed, I guess. Because I didn't see her after we landed.
When we got back to NCIS headquarters, I had went to go find Morrow. He was in MTAC (Multiple Threat Alert Center), on a videoconferencing with both Directors' of Secret Service and FBI.
"Special Agent Gibbs has been operating under my direct orders." Morrow had told them.
"Agent Todd was also acting under orders."
"As was Agent Fornell."
I walked closer to Morrow and spoke up.
"Excuse me, your Agent Fornell was very rude towards Agent Todd and myself. I was the one in charge of the plane after President Bush had got off. She may have had orders from you, but she had orders from me." I had said.
"And who might you be?" The FBI director had said.
"I am Major Kelly Gibbs and NCIS agent as well." I had told him.
"And why was you on the plane in the first place." The secret service director asked.
"Well sir, the Madam Secretary, of the White House, had asked me to be on the plane with President Bush, as his head military police personal." I had said. "Agent Fornell did not care enough to respect me as an officer or a military police personal." I had said.
It was quiet for a moment until Morrow had spoke up to where they left off.
"Then the problem seems to be that my man succeeded where your two... didn't."
"Tom, this is no time for turf wars. Not after 9/11. And especially when the President's life may be at risk." Secret service said.
"I'd like to think this is not about turf, Mark. Rather that we all believe we have the right people for the job. We shouldn't be agency directors if we didn't." Morrow had said.
"Exactly, I'm the one that called this in. Yes, Agent Bear had said he was calling the FBI. But since I was the highest rank and part of NCIS, I took protocol of calling my team." I had said. "As Morrow had said, our men was faster and better and smarter how they done this job. Your this pissed off how my men worked so much better than yours, big deal, share the investigation."
"You're offering a shared investigation?" Mark, secret service director had asked.
Morrow looked at me then back at the screen. "I am."
"Who leads? Your man?" The FBI director had asked.
"We do have the body." Morrow told them.
Secret Service Director said sarcastically. "Huh."
I rolled my eyes. Some director he is.
"Since we have the body, NCIS is in charge. If you like it or not. We'll make copies of everything we do and give them to you." I told them.
"Major Gibbs, you have an attitude, but I like you. Just don't push to much." The FBI had said.
"We'll stay in contact." Morrow had said then end the call.
After Morrow end the call, everyone looked at me. Then clapped their hands. I started blushing a little.
"Well done, Major Gibbs. First day on the job, already telling people what to do. You sure stepped up from the little girl I known to the most amazing woman ever." Morrow had said.
"Well its my job, and I expect fellow officers of all kind to respect me. Either I'm a woman or higher rank. I do not like that Agent Fornell." I said.
"Was it that bad?"
"Tom, he down talked Agent Todd and I. He definitely didn't like how I was a woman giving out orders. I had my orders from the White House to do my job." I had said.
"Yes Kelly, I know." Morrow said. "I'm surprised you didn't get on the other plane to go with the President."
"Was going to, but I choose to stay with the body. He understood. After this case on how we find how Cmdr Trapp died, I'll rejoin him." I told him.
Morrow hugged me for a moment then step off only leaving his hands on my shoulders.
"Kelly, I'm giving you my all. During this case you are in charge. Don't just it up." He said as he slid his hands down my arms and stepped out of MTAC.
I stood there smiling at the information he just told me. I was in charge of this case.
I walked out of MTAC and headed downstairs to the team. My father and DiNozzo was at their desk, DiNozzo was on the computer and my father, I don't know what he was doin.
"DiNozzo!" I called out as I was walking down the stairs. "On every thing you got or get, make sure you have written it 3 times." I told him as I got to him.
"Excuse me?" He asked.
"I'm in charge of this case til further notice. I just got out of MTAC with the directors of FBI and secret service. We're the lead of this case. And Morrow left me in charge."
"Boss your gonna let your daughter tell me what to do." DiNozzo had asked my father.
"Tony, Director Morrow put her in charge. You do what she says." My father told him.
"But," DiNozzo tried to say.
"No buts," my father told him and came over to us and slapped him on the back of his head.
He still does that with his agents. After he slapped him, he kissed me on the cheek and walked up the stairs to go to Director Morrow office. While I smiled at DiNozzo and grabbed my bag from my Fathers desk and went to the restroom to change out of my uniform.
I took off my uniform and slid on my black skinny jeans, NCIS shirt, and black hightops. I let my hair down from my tight ass bun, and threw my uniform in my bag. Slid my gun back into place, on my back and head back to my fathers desk. DiNozzo looked up when I came walking over to my fathers desk.
"Well you look different outside of you uniform, Major."
"Why thank you DiNozzo."
"You know you can call me Tony right."
"Yes, I know. I just do it formal when I'm in uniform or working. But I guess I can do this time." I said as I walked over to his desk and sat on the side of it. "I guess you can call me Kelly and I'll call you Tony."
"Yep." Tony had said.
"Your cute, but don't push it." I said then got up and head towards the elevators to go to Ducky's medical room then head to Abby's forensics lab.
As I was walking I heard Tony say, "She called me cute", that poor bastard. It's gonna take some time to get use to him.
As I got to Ducky's medical autopsy, I saw my father laying on an autopsy bed, using a roll of paper towels as a pillow. Ducky was working on Cmdr Trapp in a small dim light over him.
"Ducky?" I whispered as I got to him. "Why is he laying on an autopsy bed?" I pointed to my father.
"'Cause, he don't wanna go home and sleep." Ducky whispered back to me.
"Have you found anything?" I had asked him.
"Not yet, but I'll make sure I write my report 3 times. Your father told me your in charge of this case."
"Yes, since I was in charge of it when we were on the plane." I had told him. "Just let me or my sleepy father over there know if you find anything. I'm gonna go check on Abby." I told him as I kissed his cheek under his visor. Then went to my father and done the same. "Sleep tight." I whispered.
I walked out and went up a floor to Abby's lab. She was examining Cmdr. Trapp's uniform under UV light and talking to Tony.
"Abby?"
"Yeah?"
Tony carrying a box of evidence to another table. "Find anything on his uniform?"
"Not yet." She says.
"Well, I think I found how he was poisoned." Tony takes the box of evidence bags and starts laying them out on the countertop. Abby follows. "This guy had enough vitamins, herbs, and organic food to open his own health market. If he was poisoned, I think you'll find it laced into one of these."
After he had said that, I walked in after watching them a few moments.
"I don't think that was it, Tony. I take half of those vitamins and I'm still living." I had said.
They both looked at me. Abby smiled at me.
Abby signs label on evidence bag to keep chain of custody. "Exactly." Abby said when looked at me then back at Tony. "So what are you gonna do while I'm finding poison in a health snack? "I'll wait." Tony says as he yawns. "There's a futon, by the cabinet over there." Abby told him.
Tony clasps his hands in benediction. "Oh, bless you, Abby."
Abby chuckles. "What are you, my priest?"
"Curse you?" Tony says as he got to the futon mattress.
Abby and I laugh. Tony lays down for a nap under a desk with the futon mattress. Abby goes back to work. I walk over to her and give her a hand.
"Abby, when you write your report, have 3 copy's."
"Yes, ma'am." Abby said as she went back to work.
I smiled at her and kissed her cheek. She stopped what she was doing and hugged me. She was the best sister I could ever ask for and I loved her for it. Even if she's a little bit older than me.
The next day, Agent Fornell and Agent Todd had came by to look at what we found out about Cmdr Trapp. Ducky and Abby was talking about what they found and didn't find. What had killed him or not. Abby said all the test she ran through with the food and the pills wasn't what killed him and Ducky said he had blood clots in his head so that might have killed him.
"Well I want copies of every single report." Agent Fornell had said.
Ducky was about to say something, but I had cut him off. "Like I told you in MTAC, you will get your share of the reports. Don't boss my team like they are yours Fornell. I'm the one that's in charge of this case." I had told him.
"Gibbs, mind controlling your daughter." He had looked at my father.
"Nope, she's the boss and I let her speak her mind until other wise." My father had told him.
Fornell walk away to leave the building Todd was about to do the same.
"Kate, when's the president coming back?" My father had asked her.
But I answered for her. "He's coming back tomorrow. I have to fly out to where he's at and bring him home." I had said.
"Your gonna be with me again." Todd asked.
"Yes, it was my job in the first place." I had said.
"Well can I tag along?" My father had asked us.
I looked at Todd and she looked at me. I shrugged at her and walked away.
"Please?" My father had pleaded.
"You can. Your Sig Sauer can't. We have a rule: no weapons on Air Force One unless they're Secret Service." Kate pops the gum in her mouth.
"Other than me, I'm the only one allowed to have one." I had spoke up.
Gibbs shrugs and takes off his sidearm, tucking it away in a drawer. He puts on his coat and follows Kate out. Then he looks to Ducky and Abby as he passes. "Keep looking."
Abby was amused. "Wow. Gibbs said, "please"."
I chuckled after she said that then ran to the elevator with my bag to follow my father and Todd out.
"Gibbs," Todd had said. We both looked at her. "Damn, I meant Major Gibbs." She had said. I waited for her to continue. "Never mind."
"No what, Todd."
"Look you can call me Kate like your father does. But why are you doing this? Why are you joining? Did they call you back?" She had asked.
"Yes and no. And Kate you can call me Kelly. I had promised Bush I would be there to take him home after the case and he understood. So I'm going to be there if you like it or not."
Kate had nodded. "Okay, while you two go home and get ready, I'm going to go see someone."
I nodded and we stepped off the elevator and we head home. After a long hot shower, I put on my uniform, made sure I was all nice and neat. As before. Then head back downstairs with my bag and keys. My father was coming from upstairs from the basement.
"Still working on that damn boat I see." I had said smiling.
"Actually, its a new one. I destroyed the other one while you were shipped out 4 years ago."
"Which ex wife called?" I had asked.
He's been working on that damn boat since j was a baby and every time one of his ex wives had called he would destroy the damn thing. He had named that boat after me.
"The last one, Stephanie." He had said.
I shook my head. "You know I never liked her."
"I know."
"Let's go." I said as we head to my car.
As we go to the airport, we went through security and met Kate on the plane. It was only a few hours on the plane until we got where we were needed to be with the President.
When we got there, Kate and my father got on the plane and I done a walk through of the whole area, just in case. Then got on the plane when the president got on the plane.
"Good to see you again, Majors." The president had said to both me and the other Major that was holding a football as the president pats the new Football carrier on the arm. "Always good to see ya." He says to Agent Bear. "Folks, that was a job well done." "Thank you, sir." Agent Bear said.
"What do you say we head home?"
"Absolutely."
"Alright. I agree."
KATE looked at Bear. "Sir? I'm surprised that you didn't object to Agent Gibbs riding with us?" "He's here because his gut is still churning, isn't it?"
"Yes, sir." She tells him.
"I suppose you could put it that way." I had added. "My father is, I don't know how you call it or say it, but when he put his head into his work, he don't stop what he's doing and still thinks there's more to it. That's what calls him a good Agent." I had said.
Bear nods his head then speaks. "Well so is mine." He tells us, Kate nods, equally as concerned. Then looks at me. "I'm glad to have you back on the plane. President Bush was a little upset you wasn't with us the whole trip. He talked highly about you."
"We'll I've known President Bush since day one." I had said.
Bear walk off after the President. Air Force One takes off, once more. Kate and my father had taken their seats while I walked around the plane. No one really on other than us and the press. They all are interviewing the president in his office one by one.
I stood there watching them all talk to themselves or writing down notes or taking a nap until its their turn to speak to the president.
A few of them looked like they were up to something. Then I started thinking of a movie that I have seen with my father. Matter of fact it was called; "Air Force One".
As Bear was coming every t
10 minutes to get a press member, a man over comm had called my fathers name. I went to go see what it was about.
"What's up?" My father had asked Tony.
"Major Kerry is dead. D.C. cops found the body in his car on a street in Georgetown. Ducky and Abby'll update you." Tony switches the teleconference over to open up windows into Ducky's autopsy and Abby's lab so they can contribute as well.
"What!?" I had said. "Poor Kate."
"Another stroke, Duck?"
'I'm afraid so, Gibbs. But this time there are multiple embolic infarctions. The Major must have received a heavier dose than the Commander."
"Dose of what, Abby?" I had asked.
"It's venom, from a coastal taipan. It's a highly toxic Aussie snake." Abby had said.
"Oh my god, this s**t zaps the nervous system and it clots the blood. You convulse, and then you stroke out." I had said.
Everyone looked at me. I started blushing. Its like they forget I have my master in forensics.
"The toxin is almost impossible to detect."
"Well, the truth is, Abby would have detected it if I hadn't interrupted her while she was ALSing the uniform."
"Let me guess, the venom was in the uniform?" I had asked.
"Yeah. I found traces of DMSO in the collars and the cuffs. I think it was mixed with the venom to make it absorbed through the skin." Abby had said.
"Major Kerry was the intended target." Tony had started to say but I interrupted him. "When he came down with the flu," I had said then Tony interrupted me. "He didn't put his uniform on until yesterday." Tony said.
"How did the terrorist get the poison into the uniforms?"
"Well, they both have tags from Dry Doc Cleaners on 19th Street." Abby had said.
"DiNozzo, why are you sitting there on your ass? Get a team and go hit that dry cleaners." I had said.
Tony looks behind him at Director Morrow. The Director sits down in Tony's seat.
"I've passed that baton on to the FBI. This has all the earmarks of Al-Qaeda; unexpected, well planned, brilliantly executed. But to what end?"
"What? Morrow you gave me the clear I was in charge why did you give it to the FBI." I had asked.
"Because I am the director, Major. Yes you may be my granddaughter, but I still call the shots." He had told me. I had walked away from my father and stood by the door.
"Wouldn't surprise me to hear Bin Laden on Al-Jazeera bragging about how he iced the President's Ball carriers."
"I don't think that's what he wants to brag about."
"Eh, neither do I." My father had said then signs off and leans back in his chair, thinking.
Then he runs down the stairs to the new Football carrier, who leaps to his feet when he sees Gibbs. And I was right behind him.
"Where'd you get your uniform dry-cleaned?"
"Base cleaner at Quantico, sir."
My father walks back down the aisle, encountering Kate on the way. She's got her laptop open in her arms.
"I've accessed everything I could on the differences." Kate says.
"We need to talk." My father had said as goes to open a door to an office.
Kate stopping him. "What are you doing? There's a campaign conference going on in there."
"I need to talk to you in private." My father says.
I was about to just tell her right here and then about Major Timothy Kerry. I already felt bad for her.
"Well, there's no other private meeting room. You could ask the President to give up his office, but it might be a little weird."
My father grabs her laptop and throws it down on a seat. While she protests, he pushes her into a bathroom and squeezes in with her.
I shook my head at them and walked around the plane again. I went to where the press was at staring at them again.
A journalist starts acting funny as he stood up then starts going into convulsions and drops to the floor. I rush to his side.
"I need medical emergency in the press cabin!" I had called out.
Agent Baer leaves from escorting Leonard to race to the Press cabin. Leonard ambles along behind him. The same three medics from before come running.
"Captain, is this the same thing Trapp had?" Bear had asked.
"It appears to be."
"He's not breathing."
"Start CPR."
"Do something!" Bear had yelled out.
I looked up and saw the reporter that was with Bear was gone. I got up and went to the other Major.
"Do not let anyone past you other than agent Todd, myself, or Gibbs." I had ordered him as I got my gun out from behind me.
"Yes, ma'am." He says.
I went to the bathroom my father and Kate were at and banged in the door.
"Get out, we got emergency!" I called out. They got out and looked at me. "One of the press's are down. Where's your weapons held at?" I had asked.
Kate looked shocked. "Back over there." She had pointed.
"Go to the President now. I already told Major don't let anyone pass but us 3." I had told her.
Me and my father had ran to where the weapons were held at. It was open and there was a gun missing. My father took one out, loaded it and we ran back towards the president.
The press that was in a hurry to be seen with the president was holding an automatic.
"Freeze dirt bag!" I had called out. "Put your hands in the air now."
As I had said that, he turns slowly around and as he does, he starts firing the automatic at me and my father. I don't back down and fired 3 shots and he was down. Kate and the other agents ran to where we were and kicked the automatic away from the purp. My father hands the gun to Kate and I put mine in my back.

"The press was a distraction for this press to go kill the president. He was murdered with snake poison on his uniform." I had told Agent Bear. "We was in formed by our team upstairs."
"And the FBI is taking over now." My father had told Agent Bear and Kate.
Once we had landed, my father had stayed with Agent Bear while Kate and I walk away and leaned against my car. We talked about the case and Major Timothy Kerry. I told her I was sorry and that it was fun working with her as my first time on the time.
"Least the President's is safe." I had said.
"Yep, that's all that matter's." Kate said.
"Here's my number, if your ever in town and want to catch a drink or talk, hit me up." I told her as I handed her my card.
Kate smiled and nodded.
My father comes walking over to us.
"I heard you quit, Agent Todd."
"Happy news gets around fast. Yes, I resigned. It was the right thing to do." Kate had said.
"Yup. Pull that crap at NCIS, I won't give you a chance to resign." My father had said.
Both Kate and I surprised. "Is that a job offer?" She had asked.
My father doesn't respond, but gets picked up by a mysterious redheaded lady friend with the convertible. Kate and I looks on in bewilderment.
"Holy s**t balls." I had said. "Who the hell is he seeing now." I had asked myself out loud.
Kate giggled making me turn to her.
"Well s**t, I guess we'll be working together now. Why didn't you tell me." I had asked.
"Eh, didn't come up." She had said.
I hugged her and offered her a ride home, but she turned it down. She went to her car and drove off waving goodbye for now.
I smiled at her and got into my car and headed home myself. Its been a long day. Actually a long 3 days.
But my job is never done for until the day I quit.
Or died.
Sorry if this to a while, was trying how to figure out how I was going to write this and have part of the very first episode from NCIS on here as Kelly's first job.
Protecting the President was her main job and do y'all think she done a good job at it being in charge of the case.
