Stacy spent the 2 months between her birthday and Tanners training the Warriors and beginners in Martial Arts and weapons, ignoring the fact that every time they came close to each other every instinct in her was screaming that they were Mates. She thought it was bearable until two weeks before his birthday, when his betrothed arrived for her annual visit. As soon as she arrived, Adira wanted to rip her throat out.
It was that night that she was summoned to the Alphas Office. "Tanner needs to take a two weeks off from training. Would it effect anything?" he asked her pointedly.
Stacy thought for several minutes about what she would be teaching before nodding. "Yes Alpha, it would. Two weeks at the pace the Advanced and Elite Warriors are learning would leave him too far behind to catch up before I leave for school." she replied evenly. "I would suggest we give my class a two week break, while I leave during her visit."
Alexander was surprised at her request, because she had never made one before. "Why would you need to leave?" he asked.
Stacy wasn't sure she should tell him, but decided she had no other choice. "Because my Wolf already wants to rip her throat out." she said as her Wolf growled as she tried to take over. Alexander even saw her eyes change, and knew it was definitely her Wolf.
"It seems you have been keeping a few secrets." he said surprised especially as she had already sworn allegiance to the Pack. "How long have you known you had a Wolf?" he asked her as he sat back.
"Since a few days before my birthday. My first shift was on my birthday, and you likely even saw me. White Wolf with Red socks on all 4 paws." she said as he laughed.
"I knew I had never seen that Wolf before." he said chuckling. "Why does your Wolf want to rip Stephanie's throat out?" he asked her curious.
Stacy smiled as she looked at him, her Wolf purring as she admitted it. "Alpha Alexander, he is my Fated Mate. One I cannot claim until he is 18, and decides if he wants me or the contract." she told him stoically. "However I cannot guarantee that before my Wolf won't rip her to pieces, especially if she is as vocal about her being the Future Luna as she has been in the past. My Wolf sees Tanner as hers, and is already possessive of him, despite knowing the circumstances."
Alex leaned forward as he looked at her. "We have a cabin a few hours away on the shore of a Lake that you can go to. It is Neutral territory, with many Werewolves that you would be able to interact with. I will have a car prepared while you go pack for the trip." he said as he filled out the paperwork and used the mind link to tell his people that would be taking her to the Lake.
"Thank you Alpha, I hope he chooses me, however I will not be returning until after she leaves." Stacy said as he nodded.
"I will send the car once she has left. I cannot tell you what he will decide. as it is his choice. I however hope if he chooses her, you will be able to stay and make a life for yourself here." Alexander said as he handed her a ring with 3 keys on it.
"Yes Alpha." Stacy said before she left his office and went to her room.
Tanner was pissed that his parents refused to cancel the annual visit of Stephanie ofnthenWhite Shadow Pack to theirs, as it was part of the marriage contract he knew for near fact that he was going to get out of once he turned 18. He knew beyond reason that Stacy was his Fated Mate, and she had already made the Pack so much stronger without knowing if she would even stay if he rejected her and fulfilled the contract. He managed to evade her for a few hours when she had first arrived, hearing her use her current position as Future Luna to once again bully Pack members that refused to just give the 16 year old her way.
He however knew that he had to be at the dinner that was held for her every year, or his parents were going to be beyond pissed. So he slipped in through the kitchen that was full of food he despised, hoping beyond hope his one bright spot would be there this evening. Using the back stairs, he managed to get to his room without being seen by anyone, and could hear his mother yelling at one of the warriors to find him.
"What is all the ruckus about mother?" he asked as the warrior smirked because she had checked his room only a few minutes ago.
"Where have you been?" she demanded turning away from the warrior who stood there trying not to listen but hadn't been dismissed yet.
"I told you and dad I was taking a walk to clear my head before that thing arrived today." Tanner said referring to Stephanie.
"She is not a thing, and you will not treat her that way." Amanda said pointing her finger at him as she marched up to him.
"Your right mother, it is not fair to take it out on her. You and father are the rightful objects of.my disdain." he said walking back into his room so he could change.
"And just what the hell is that supposed to mean?" she demanded angrily following him in while he stripped out of his dirty clothes.
"I already told you this is a waste of time, that I have found my Fated Mate and will be accepting her as my Luna. Having her come here like nothing has changed is cruel beyond belief, as my final gift to her will be a rejection before she even turns 18 and has a chance to find her Fated Mate." he said as he pulled his suit pants on. "But because you insist on wasting everyone's time, I will parade her around the Pack for two weeks. Making everyone she interacts with completely miserable because she is an intolerable pain that likes to lord her position over everyone's head. And on my birthday when it is official, I am going to tell her I have already found my Fated Mate, and am cancelling the contract. That she will never be my Luna." he finished as he put his shirt and jacket on and looked at her. "Is this presentable enough, or should I find a fancier suit and tie to impress a princess who is about to Jane her heart crushed?"
Amanda Snow was stunned he had said it so openly, and was glad that without him Stephanie could not access the Alphas area of the Pack house. "Why are you so insistent Stacy is your Mate? You cannot even tell until you are both 18!" she exclaimed as he looked at her dead serious. "She doesn't even have a Wolf!"
"Except in the rare case when one of the wolves has been blessed by the Moon Goddess. Signs of this are a White Wolf who does not appear until their 18th birthday, because the strength of the Wolf would overpower the human." Tanner said as he ran a brush through his hair and styled it with gel the way he liked it. "As far as her not having a Wolf, that is poppycock. I happen to know her Wolf is pure white except for blood red socks on each paw going up to the first joint. Adira came on her 18th birthday, perhaps you remember the day her body felt like it was on fire, and steam was coming from the ice bath the kitchen had started for her because the water was warm." he said as Amanda looked at him. It was clear she remembered the day well, but had no idea about it.
"Make it through tonight and we will discuss the matter in the morning before breakfast is served. Your training classes have been canceled for the next two weeks, along with the rest of the men and women who trained with you." she said as her son looked at her worriedly.
"I will behave accordingly until my birthday, after that I will not entertain this contract." he told her firmly as he went downstairs to do what was expected of him.
Stacy spent 3 days at the Lake House before her phone dinged with a text message, and she was surprised ot was from Alpha Alexander saying he would be arriving within the hour. She wondered what brought him all the way here, as it had taken the driver 4 hours to get her here the first time.
She tidied the house up, knowing that she would most definitely want to be able to make use of the house again. Despite how active it was, she knew if her mind was less turbulent right now, she would be enjoying it greatly. She however could feel each touch that his Fiance put on him, glad that he was not letting her kiss him or anything else.
"You look disturbed." Alexander said as he walked into the house.
"Let us just say it is a good thing I am not at the Pack right now. She would have died several times already." Stacy replied as she cut some meat for lunch.
"You really are Mates than and he has made his point clear. You have nothing to worry about, for he intends to cancel the contract the day he is able too. Tell me, have you ever considered what you would do as Luna?" he asked her.
"I won't even consider it until our Mating Ceremony is complete, and we have fully accepted each other." she replied shocking him. "I also won't even dream of it until that contract is nothing but a bad memory of how the wretched girl has acted for the last 8 years atleast."
Her answer surprised him as she hissed and grabbed her arm, knowing that he was yet again escorting her somewhere in the Pack. "Let us eat than, and I will be returning tonight. We will have to see about everything else, as it is customary for the Future Luna to enter training once she has been found."
"I intend toncomplete my schooling before we complete the mating ceremony, so it will be atleast 4 years before that will need to happen." she said as she gave him the sandwich she was making and he smiled.
"Good for you." Alexander said knowing it would put a definite crimp in their plans for dealing with the contract.
Tanner woke up the morning of his birthday, and before the sun had even risen jumped into his car and began the long drive to the Lake where he knew Stacy was waiting for Stephanie to leave. She had left him a note, saying she couldn't be in the village knowing the floozy believed in two years she would begin Luna training for their wedding when she was finished. It was so far before the sun even rose, that as it broke the peaks of the surrounding mountains, he was already at the small village only a few miles away getting them both a coffee and the supplies he needed for the breakfast he wanted to make her.
He was surprised however when he got there, and she was sitting on the porch watching the sun rise with coffee in hand.
As soon as the car door opened the breeze caught his scent, and Stacy knew exactly who it was because her Wolf started dancing which caused her to smile. She knew it was not a short drive to get here from the Pack House, and she doubted very much his parents even knew he was gone yet.
"I couldn't wait a moment more to see you." he said as his own Wolf was driving him crazy. How he knew without the scent was beyond him, as the wind was to his back blowing directly at her.
Stacy smiled as she stood up as he pulled out the tray and several bags of food, k keing that she would have gone to the market today for breakfast anyway. "Why would that be?" she asked toying with him as her own Wolf growled at her.
'You know he had no choice.' Adira said angrily to her.
"Because some floozy has spent the last two weeks making my life miserable, and I needed to know." he replied as he finally reached the top step and her scent about knocked him over with desire as he knew in that moment she was most definitely his Fated Mate.
"That it is entirely far too early for a proper lady to have gentlemen callers. I thought everyone would know that by your age." she teased as she got up and held the door open for him before following him in and taking the coffee that jad her initial. "Do your parents know you even left?" she asked him and he laughed.
"In about half an hour Inwould expect your phone to start blowing up as I didn't leave so much as a note." he said smugly as he set everything down. "I do have a question for you though." he said as he pulled everything out of the bags.
"Which is?" she asked making him work for every bit of what she was willing to give.
"Come to my party so you can witness me tell her that I have found you and am calling off the wedding agreement called for in the contract?" he asked knowing it would surprise her.
