CHAPTER 15
LILY
Her new roommate was a bubbly girl with pink hair and elfish features. Katya had a closet filled with clothes befitting a queen, judging by the designer labels, and a load of shoes on her side of the room, which spilled over to Lily’s side. Since the girl apologized about it profusely, and—thank God—didn’t have any nasty habits like being a slob or snoring, Lily could live with it.
Katya was taking a shower as Lily sat at her desk in front of a pile of books. She had an exam in a week, but her concentration was all over the place. Her life was almost returning to normal. Her father wasn’t anywhere in the picture, and Baran was staying out of her life, as promised.
