The ConfessionThe envelope felt heavy. “Mr. Bower?” The last time I’d seen Mr. Jake Bower, he’d been at the Diamond Country House, begging for his life whilst being dragged away. I squeezed my eyes shut, grief and remorse overcoming me for a moment. “I’m sorry to hear that.” “I have to say I’m more than a bit confused about all this, Mrs. Spadros.
