Chapter 14

Affected “I-I have my o-own car…” “Hop in.” I tried to sound casual as I can but I am so pissed. How could she let herself in this situation? What if Athan Macneil is an assh*le and took advantage of her? D*mn it! “Seatbelt,” I commanded when I successfully let her in my car. There’s no way I will let her drive on her own. She’s drunk. The thought of her desperately asking men to marry her in exchange for their help infuriates me. I am a man, and I know how most men think. “Uhm… my address is—” “Are you that desperate?” I was about to ask her genuinely but since I am annoyed, it sounded harsh and accusing. She lowered her head, glued her eyes on her lap, and played with her nails. My eyes darted angrily on the road and my hands grip tightly on the steering wheel. “You’re randomly asking men in a bar to marry you. Aren’t you ashamed?” I could not stop myself from talking. I know my words will hurt her but she needs to wake up. Her ways are crooked and not a solution to her problem. “No decent man will agree to marry a drunk woman that would ask them in a bar…” except for me. I don’t care what state is she in, as long as she will ask me to marry her, I will give in. But I do not want her to feel like I married her only for her body. D*mn! “As someone who is born rich and on the verge of bankruptcy, I thought you’ll hold your chin up high and put on a good fight until the end. That is how I imagine the old riches handle such a situation. Guess I thought wrong. It never crosses my mind that you will resort to this.” F*ck! If billionaires will know she’s looking for a husband, I am certain many will flock to her feet. She doesn’t need to do this. I am more than willing to give her anything. If their company will fail—which I won’t let happen, then I will take care of her and her family. Hell, I am willing to work until my last breath just so I can give her all she needs and wants! She’s a total headache, boys will beg on their knees just to be with her, and I know I am no different. The door of our office burst out opened and revealed Samantha Yerin. We are in the student council room and I am with Clyver and Gerix and some of the student members. Clyver isn’t a member here but he often stays here to cut classes. “Hi, Samantha—” Clyver stands on her seat to greet her but he was cut off. “What are you doing?!” she shouted. “Student council is supposed to maintain order and CLEANLINESS in the campus…” My brows furrowed. Everyone in the room is waiting for her explanation of her sudden appearance. On the other hand, I sighed. “If you are talking about Athan Macneil and his girls, then you can scold them yourself,” I replied. I still have ongoing documents that need to finish and I have to rewrite my essay on one of my major subjects that will be passed later. I do not have time for her petty rants. I faced my laptop and continue what I was doing. “Oh, yeah? What about you Gerix?” Gerix, who is busy scrolling through his phone only gave her a nod. “You can scold them. Tell them we gave you the right to do so,” he shrugged. This scene is not different from her almost everyday rants. She often goes here just to tell us Ace’s s*xcapades inside the campus, but never reported to us when it is the two of them. “Don’t use the council to eliminate your competitors, Sam,” Clyver chuckled. “I’m here. I don’t have—” “Shut up, manwh*re!” “Woah! Calm down, woman.” Clyver raised his hand in front while smirking, and Samantha’s face turned red. “You guys should not be in the council. You are all biased.” I shake my head, irritated by her voice. I could not focus on what I am doing due to her high-pitched tone. Is it because Ariette Levrinne is your cousin, huh, Gerix?” This time, she caught my attention. “What does Ms. Levrinne has anything to do with this?” I asked annoyingly. “Well, she’s making out with Ace—” “Where?” I cut her off. “In the school’s campus. Near the garden—” I did not let her finish and stand on my seat. I folded my laptop harshly and walked out of the room. I can feel Clyver and Gerix following me from behind. Samantha, on the other hand, jogged with her inches of heels. She walked ahead of us. It is indeed true. In the garden, I saw her with her friends. Samantha is already in front of them, probably arguing with the girls. While Ari is sitting on the well-trimmed grass of the campus between Athan Macneil’s legs. Her back is leaning on his chest while making out. One of her friends saw us. She alarmed their group and they all turned their heads at us. The girls quickly picked up their things and stand in their seats, except for her. It seems like she’s not scared of our presence. Unlike her friends who panicked. “It was not me who spread it and I am not the one in the video!” She shouted. Athan moved from his place and stand. He greeted us by nodding his head but I ignored him. My eyes are all focused on Ari. My brows furrowed. Is she talking about that stupid video and photos that were leaked and is rumored to be hers? We are investigating it. Gerix and I worked our asses off just so the spreading will stop. I will never forget the amount of patience that I had just to stop myself from punching the students who were caught watching and spreading those f*cking photos and videos. It was not her. I am certain. I may not know her body too well, but I know deep inside, it was not her and I believe in her. “Woah! Both of you, calm down,” Gerix intervened as the two continuously fight. “What do you want me to say then?” she says in an intimidating tone. Her brows arched and her copper-colored hair added to her girly look. A lot of boys here in the school see her as a matured looking and a fully grown woman, giving her experience. But in my eyes, she still looks like a normal teenage girl. And she should act like one. She’s too busy portraying herself as someone she is not. I hate it. “Should I tell everyone that it is indeed I and Ace? Should I give them the details on how he roams his hands all over my body, making me dripping wet?” My brows furrowed from her remarks. What the f*ck?! This woman! In the sides of my eyes, I notice how Clyver is trying to stop himself from bursting into laughter. I glared at him. He slightly raises his hand in front, as if he’s nonverbally telling me he’ll stop. “Ari…” Gerix said in a waring tone. As his cousin, I am also not happy with what she said. The satisfaction is written all over her face as she watched Samantha turning tomato red out of anger. I watch her triumphant face. Her lips are slightly curved upwards, giving her look a ghost of a smirk. She felt my stares and unconsciously turned her head in my direction. Our eyes locked. Her slightly brown eyes shined brightly under the afternoon sun. Her straight long hair that falls inches above her waist danced along with the swaying of the wind. Her lips looked wet and glossy. My eyes crawled down to the side of her neck which was slightly red. I can’t believe that the man behind her got to taste her lips and plant a kiss on the part of her body! My sight dropped a little lower and noticed that the first three buttons of her uniform is unbuttoned. My face turned grim. I looked back at her face and frowned. Her lips slowly went into a straight line and her joyful eyes escalated into an anxious stare. Her eyes blink uncontrollably as she tried to avoid my gaze. I am not sure what it is for, but what I am certain about is… my presence affects her—just like how she affects me. ----- Forcing The Billionaire by: Joanne Cristel ©2022 ----- Note: Unedited.
