Kiandra is a very old Mermaid with a youthful appearance who has a very important rule in her shoal. She lives a happy life with her family, seeing her sister's descendants growing and having their own babies. She no longer believes she would have something like this after her heart was broken years ago when she lost her other half, making her being afraid of losing her loved ones once more. On the other hand, Arcana is a Gamma she-wolf who can't wait for the day when she finally meets her Mate as she always dreamed about how her past life ended, making her believe that the other woman had also died on that day. Scene 1 Meeting each other for the first time when Jordan, her nephew, visits after a tragic event happens, it was a surprise to Kiandra find out that her Soulmate was now reborn, despite acting pretty normal as she could while tears run down her face. Arcana wanted to hug her right now, yet she stopped herself when she notices how Kiandra gives a step back, showing a smile while inviting them to eat something at her house. And so it was done, even if Arcana wanted to say something else to her, but William, her Alpha, stopped her while saying that it wasn't the right time and they could always talk later now, although he didn't know what was going on with his Gamma. Scene 2 It was hard to hide the awkwardness between them later when they got the promised time alone as different thoughts were in their heads, especially when the reality of the positions among their kind came to mind. Without thinking, Arcana mentioned that she would mind leaving the Pack for Kiandra, worrying the Mermaid right away. However, Kiandra didn't like it at all. That simple words only made her fears came back from the past; despite how much she wanted to stay with her loved one, she didn't want to destroy Arcana's life again, and it makes her suggest to the she-wolf that maybe it was better for both of them if their thought this meeting never happened. Scene 3 Spending the next few days trying to convince Kiandra otherwise, Arcana wanted to prove that she was no longer the weak human who died before her in the past. Still, all was futile until she finally decided to share her problems with Jordan and William. Jordan quickly gives her some tips on how she could win her aunt's heart. Yet, William spoils their plans by remembering they would be leaving on the following day to go back to work, making the couple that has been separated for more than fifty years to be away from each other again. But after complaining about it, her Alpha gave Arcana some vacation time to win Kiandra's heart after finishing that week's job.
