Chapter 5 Joby Karns was sleeping on the couch in her office when the call came in. She’d been up late, trying to put the finishing touches on the report she had to turn in later today on how to cope with the Leone crisis. Her plans were all but complete, but a glance at the clock told her there was no point to going home for a few hours of sleep. She’d slept often enough on the couch here; it was merely one of the little annoyances that came with her position of power.
