Chapter 4

I smiled and kissed him on the forehead. Pinikit ko ang mga mata ko. I just want to rest for a bit. - I woke up with Brion messing with my hair.

Ngumiti ako sa kanya at pinikit ulit ang mata. I'm still sleepy.

"Mommy!"

"Hmm?"

"I'm hungry..." Tumayo kaagad ako.

Anong oras na ba? Lunch na! I was planning to make lunch for them pero nakatulog pa talaga ako. Tinignan ko ang kumot na nakapulupot na sa katawan ko.

I’m sure Louis put this on me.

"Wait for me here okay?"

"Daddy..." Lumingon ako at nandoon pala si Louis sa sofa nag lalaro ng ps4 sa tv.

He didn't move his video game from my room.

"Louis... bathroom lang ako. Hold him for me." Tumango siya at tinanggap si Brion.

Nilagay niya iyon sa pagitan ng hita niya at naglaro ulit. Brion seems to enjoy watching his dad play. Pumasok ako sa bathroom.

Of course I need to brush my teeth and look... presentable. Lumaki ang mata ko ng makita ang mukha ko. My hair is so messy! Pinikit ko ng mariin ang mata ko at inayos ang buhok. Nakakahiya!

Lalabas sana ako para kuhain ang make-up kit ko but he already arranged them on the vanity sa may walk-in closet.

Walk-in closet is connected to the bathroom. I washed my face and put a new makeup. Kung kanina ay medyo kita ang eyeshadow ko ngayon ay ginawa kong natural look.

I went out of the bathroom at binuhat ulit si Brion.

"Uh... ayaw mo pa bumaba? Did tita cook already? Balak ko sana ako magluto ngayon..."

"Yaya Selya cooked. Tapos na sila kumain."

"What? Why didn't you wake me? gutom na kaya si Brion." Irap ko.

"You're both asleep. Halos sabay lang din kayo nagising.” Tinignan ko si Brion at nginitian niya lang ako. I can’t handle his cuteness. He looks just like his father.

He’s like a small version of Louis.

"Bababa na kami."

"Ako hindi mo sasama? I haven't eaten yet either." There he goes again. I pouted.

Edi sumunod siya. Bumaba ako dala dala si Brion at inupo siya sa high chair na para sa kanya. I don't know... what Brion eats.

"Here."

Binigay ni Louis ang isang cereal na bowl at carrot juice. Sinubuan ko si Brion ng cereal. Ngumiti ito at ngumuya. His cuteness is my weakness, I wish I could bring him home.

"Denise and others are asking me about you. I think they heard about your arrival." Nilingon ko siya.

I don't have connections with them anymore. I created a new account and also changed my number. A lot of complications will happen if we're mutuals in social media.

People in Manila doesn't know I have a son. I know this is wrong, keeping Brion a secret, but I was immature when I decided to do that. I couldn't back down anymore so I just go with the flow. I'm also afraid I'll lose Gio.

God, I'm such a bad mother. I'll tell him eventually and I'll clear things up.

"Ah. Tell them I'm fine and I've arrive safely."

"They wanted to meet you. Us."

They're my friends in highschool and Brion became close with them too since we got into a relationship. Louis's not one of my classmates nor friend because he's older than me. I'm a junior and he's a senior.

-Flashback-

"Uy Katherine! Alam mo ba na madalas dumaan sa room natin si Louis?" Kinikilig na sabi ni Denise.

"Talaga?!" I shouted out of excitement. Napatingin sa'min yung teacher at mga classmate namin kaya natigilan kami. We acted like nothing happened.

"Talaga?" bulong ko nung inalis na nila yung tingin nila.

"Yes! Palagi kasi pala siyang nandoon sa music room. Eh 'di ba madadaanan yung room natin? Kanina ko lang napansin. "

Bulong niya. Oh my God! I was so stupid not to notice. Simula 'non lagi na ako tumitingin sa labas. I always see him pass our room and he looks really handsome. He's my ultimate crush ever since.

Madami naman akong crush pero ewan ko, siya pa din talaga yung binabalik balikan ko. I have crushes because once they like me back... ayaw ko na sa kanila.

In short I want to chase. Ayoko na ako yung hinahabol.

Months have passed at pinapanood ko pa rin siyang dumaan. I'm afraid to confess dahil baka ireject niya ako, pero what if hindi? I'm also afraid my feelings will be gone for him. God. This is frustrating.

"Are you Katherine?" Lumingon ako.

Oh.. my... God. You're kidding me. Louis Davis is right in front of me. Napayuko ako at hindi nakapagsalita. What should I do? What does he need?

"A-Ah ano... bakit?" Nauutal kong sabi.

Matagal na din may mga lumalapit sa 'kin na lalaki at gusto makipag-usap pero hindi ko sila pinapansin, but there's this one guy.

He's just so persistent and I couldn't stop him. He sometimes even interrupt me from stalking Louis so I got really pissed.

"Just one date... try me." He said. Like what the hell? I'm pretty sure rumors spread that I don't like the chase and if I was at least have a little interest in him, I would give him a bit of attention.

"Sorry." Sabi ko at sinubukan umalis pero ang higpit ng hawak niya sa pulsuhan ko.

He snaked his arms around my waist and pulled me closer to him. The next thing I heard are people screaming out of surprise.

Napanganga ako ng makitang nakahandusay yung lalaki sa sahig. I look up and saw Louis's angry face.

"What the f**k do you think you're doing?" Umigting ang panga niya sa galit.

Ako? Gulat na gulat pa rin ako kasi he's been rejecting me this whole time. I'm pretty sure almost every student was aware of that too 'cause we're really a hot topic those days.
