Stella didn't care for Drake's teasing.
She took a step back. She was done with those names. She looked at him coldly.
" David, went back to school, I will tell him you called." She rushed off into the house.
He slowly got out of his fancy sports car, taking his time. He adjusted his pants and ran his hand through his blond hair.
He walked into her house, not even knocking first.
Stella was already naked, in the shower. She was taking her time as she washed her body.
He waited on her bed, legs crossed. He looked around her room.
He felt under her pillow for her panties. They were gone, she had found them. Drake smiled.
Stella was singing. She got out of the bathroom and walked naked into her room.
She went into her closet and grabbed her jeans and a shirt.
When she turned around he was on her bed.
Stella let out a blood curdling scream. " Oh Lord, you scared the snot out of me!"
Drake sat up. "Sorry fella, I didn't mean to scare you." He smiled.
She threw her clothing at him.
" Get out of my room!"
He watched her body move.
He grew excited seeing her fully naked.
" Did you find your panties I brought back to you then?" He asked.
She nodded. "Did you wash them for me?"
" Nope." He smiled looking into those green eyes.
" Can you please go now?" She said as she put her hand on one hip.
He was looking her up and down very deliberately very slowly.
" Come here, let's play like we did on your birthday twerp." He said with his eye lids half closed.
She shook her head.
" I thought you..you didn't like me?" She didn't understand his manly passion for her.
He never called her afterwards, the last time.
He was embarrassed to say thay he didn't recognize her.
He removed his shirt. Then unbuttoned his pants. "Come to me Stella."
She shook her head. "I'm not...I am not good at this...I don't know what to do, it was so fast the last time."
He patted the bed. "I can show you what I like twerp." He deliberately called her by the names she hated, baiting her.
Stella nodded. "Okay, let me use the bathroom, wait here." She said.
Stella walked past the bathroom and ran down the stairs.
She went to the laundry room and threw on some clothing.
Stella quietly opened the garage door and took off. She was scared as hell to get hurt by him, she liked him too much.
He waited for her. She didn't come back to bed.
Drake got up and looked for her. She fled. " Hmm...I came in too strong." He thought.
He left her a note.
Look, call me if you want to play like a woman plays.
He left her his number.
Stella waited until she was sure he had left. She went home and locked the doors.
She saw the note in her room. She ripped it up into little pieces. " No way, I'm not the girl for you." He was too smooth, too confident, she felt like a nobody next to a man like that.
But still, she was feeling butterflies in her stomach at what he had done to her before.
Stella lay on her bed, she smelled his cologne. She liked it.
She touched her skin and her breasts. " What does he see in me, why does he want me of all people?"
Later that month..
Stella finished high school. She graduated early. She had made the dean's list.
She was planning to attend college in the fall.
Of course her parents didn't make it to her graduation.
She didn't even tell them about it. She was sure that they were heading for a divorce.
Stella packed up her things and left to see Sophia.
" I wish I knew why they are so cold to me?" Stella pondered her parents behavior towards her.
She was frustrated and sick of being all alone, she felt so very alone.
She drove over to see her auntie.
Sophia was very fragile looking.
She had lost a lot of weight.
" I'm so glad to see you auntie!" She hugged her, taking care not to squeeze to hard.
She could feel all of her bones.
Aunt Sophia was having difficulty breathing. She used oxygen now.
" Hh, hh, hh sit Stella." She breathed out as she sat down.
" You are getting thin Sophia." she said.
Sophia said," You are too my girl, how was the graduation? I'm so proud of you."
Stella smiled. " Im going to college, well community college.
I can't go to a university until mom and dad decide if they will help me pay for it.
My brothers are costing them a fortune already."
Sophia smiled."You can do anything you want to do my dear."
Stella said," You always believed in me."
Sophia grew weaker each day. The cancer was running it's course.
Stella visited her every day.
Sophia had hired a girl. She needed someone to help her cook, clean, bathe.
Her breathing was too bad now.
Sophia looked at her wedding photo she reminisced about her husband Dean.
Sophia smiled as she looked at her ring. She thought of the past, her husband. " I'm coming to you my love, it will be soon. I promise you." she said to herself.
Stella asked her, "Auntie Sophia, why didn't you and Uncle Dean have kids?"
" Ah...we had a daughter. She didn't live past a few days old, she died in my arms.
Stella Louise was her name, you were named after her.
I never could have children after that. They took my plumbing so to speak, I had hemmoraged." Sophia said.
Stella was the closest thing she had to a daughter.
If Leslie and Baron couldn't love her, she would. They had fought bitterly about this.
Stella had no clue about the truth of why they shunned her.
Sophia would make it up to her. She had plans for this lovely niece of hers.
She called her lawyer and he prepared everything.
" You are going to live like I never could," she told herself.
"You are fearless Stella. I wish I could stick around to see it all happen for you."
Dean had invested heavily in several tech companies at the start of their creation.
When he died, Sophia was his only beneficiary.
She had no idea that the money had grown so much.
When she was told what she was worth, she quietly began her charitable works.
Sophia chose Stella to continue on with her work, Stella alone would be her sole heir.
She knew the way her family had treated Stella all of these years was so wrong.
In fact, most of the family pictures in her nephew Baron's home, did not include Stella.
This was a wrong that Sophia planned in righting. She smiled.
Only you Stella, you are the one. You will be my heiress.
