" Cash, please answer me."
Stella continued her search, she looked for hours. She knew she had to make camp soon, the light was fading.
She heard a branch break, followed by another, then another.
" Damn it, that better be you Cash." She yelled.
" Stella, please...I need help." he was limping and staggering.
Stella ran to him and helped him sit down, she felt his head, he was burning up.
" Here, drink this." She gave him the bottle of water. He drank the whole thing. She handed him the seaweed and dandelion and made him eat.
The salt from the seaweed and the water gave him the electrolytes he needed.
He lay against her with his head on her lap.
" I got so lost." He was breathing hard.
" Okay, I got you big guy, just sleep for a bit, when's the last time you slept?"
" The first night, I guess." He said.
" Okay be quiet and rest." She ran her hands trough his brown hair. He fell asleep in her arms.
Stella hugged him to her and watched over him until she also fell asleep.
When she woke up, the sun was rising. They both slept most of the night.
Cash sat up. He looked much better now.
" Thank you for finding me, you saved my life. Where did you get that bottle of water?" He asked.
" It floated to shore." She looked away. She wouldn't tell him about the dead body she saw.
" Well, we better get back." She said.
"Oh!"...Stella feel back as her leg was asleep.
" Cash, I need a minute."
" I will carry you." He said.
" No, it's not that, it just fell asleep because you were sleeping on me like your pillow." She punched him.
He picked her up and kissed her on the lips. "I got you."
He carried her for a while.
Stella was afraid he would wear out.
" Cash, I need to go pee." She lied. She hadn't had any water since yesterday.
She went behind a tree, breathing hard.
When she came back, she was walking fine so he let her walk instead of carrying her.
" Stella, did you put all these ribbons on the bushes?"
She nodded. " I got so lost the last time, so this time I left bread crumbs, so to speak."
" What does that mean?" he asked.
" Oh, like Hansel and Gretal, it's a children's story they left bread crumbs in the woods so they could find their way back, only the birds ate them and they lost the way back."
"Oh, so you used parachute crumbs." He smiled.
" So you actually think I would throw away precious bread crumbs if I had them, Cash?"
He shook his head. "I'm starving."
They finally found the fresh water spring and drank their fill.
Stella collected sticks, dry leaves, and grass for the fire.
They made it back to camp.
" Okay, what's for dinner?" He asked.
" Oh, I have a surprise for dinner, and this!"
She showed him a shallow piece of metal. It was part of the plane.
" Our new very expensive cooking pan." She beemed.
Stella had curled up the edges of the metal to make a bowl shape.
Cash smiled. "Okay I'll get the fire going."
Stella went down to the shore and dug up a dozen clams and a handful of seaweed.
She also found some sea beans and several small crabs. She put them in her little parachute sachel.
"Okay, go lay down Cash, I'll call you for dinner." She told him.
He kissed her hand. "Thank you honey, I am wasted."
Stella called him an hour later.
" Cash food's ready."
Cash came out and sat down. He saw the meager food and ate it like it was caviar and lobster.
He took his share and left her the rest. She lied. " Oh, I ate, you get all of it." She smiled.
He was so big, it hurt her to see him suffer, to starve like this.
" Okay I will look for a big fish for us tomorrow." He said.
During the night it started to rain. The make shift tent kept them very dry. Stella snuggled into Cash's arms. Her stomach growled loudly.
" You didn't eat did you?" He asked her.
" I ate before without you, I owed you a meal." She said.
" Don't...we are a team remember. You eat with me, no holding back okay?" Cash rubbed her tummy.
" Let's try to sleep, the wind is picking up, we are going to have a rough night."
He was right. The storm landed. The parachute flew off and up into the air. Cash ran after it.
Stella ran into the shrubs, trying to escape the loud thunder and lightening.
Cash had the parachute under his arm. He covered Stella and himself with it. They waited out in the Storm under a tree. They were cold and wet but they were together.
Stella was shivering.
"Tell me you are shivering for me because you are so in love with me, my muscles, my abs and of course my"...he looked down at his crotch.
Stella sat on his lap and kissed him passionately. They got lost in eachother's touch.
They warmed up with their love making as the storm around them raged. "Cash, it can be a hurricane out here, but all I know is you are with me, you are my everything. I love you so much. Thank you for taking care of me."
" Darling, you are the sun and the moon. You shine your light on me and make my world exist, so you see we are a perfect match." He touched her ribs.
" You lost a bit of weight love." He kissed her ribs.
" I'm on a new diet. You know it's all the rage. You only eat clams and seaweed."
He threw back his head and laughed.
It was the third night on the island.
