Drake explained ways that he could invest the money and then she could give away her profits from this, that way she could help more people.
He almost had her convinced to sign it all over to him, then like a very real ray of light, something shone in her eyes.
It traveled across her face as she sat at the window of the private jet. It was a prism of light shining off the long wing and into her eyes.
She closed her eyes as she could hear Drake expand on his investment ideas.
She soaked in that light ray through her closed eye lids.
" You are my sunshine, my only sunshine, you make me happy...when sky's are..
She stopped singing. She stood up and excused herself.
Drake was on his computer doing the numbers, calculating how much they would be worth according to his proposal.
Stella had a flash back. She was a child, a very small child. Her aunt Sophia, she sang that to her.
She had been her whole world when she was younger, she was like her mother, sort of.
But since she died of cancer, she looked for one like her, her own person to love.
It wasn't the same. No person had ever sang that song to her again.
Stella pondered what it was to be alone. To be lonely. She thought about following her brothers around, being annoying to them, any attention was good attention.
She wanted someone to sing that song to her. To make her feel loved, cherished.
" That's why I have all these special men, isn't it...I don't dare let one of them slip by me." She thought.
Stella pulled her knees to her chest, she sat in the back of the plane, alone. She hugged herself, thinking, thinking.
" I want to share myself with the lonely, the oppressed, the sad people, children maybe... I will start there. That is my passion, to bring in the sun where there are grey skies. I will start there."
As Drake made plans to invest the money, Stella smiled.
Her mental vision board was being created to give all of that money away, of course anonymously so the paparazzi wouldn't antagonize her.
When she felt the plane start to descend, she stood up and took her seat next to Drake.
He barely smiled at her, he was still calculating.
She was pulling away from him, she was preparing for the boys waiting there at the airport.
She removed Drake's rings, but kept that locket on, she covertly put them into her pocket. He was ignoring her anyway.
She put Ash and Storm's rings on. She smiled. I'm coming boys.
As they prepared to land, Drake closed his laptop.
He smiled and rubbed his, self admitted, greedy hands together.
" Stella, why?" He asked her.
"Why what?" she moved Storm's ring around her thumb.
" Why did your aunt want you to give all that money away?" he asked.
" Oh, she indicated it in her will. I never questioned it.
I just know that it is a huge responsibility that she does not trust anyone else in my family to undertake, only me." She said.
He rubbed his chin. " We need to get married, for real this time, to protect you."
He smiled. She saw a change in him, he was thinking, he was turning money around in his head, investing it, growing it. She hated this part of him.
She knew it was bred into him as a businessman. He did get his MBA this past year. He was very good at the finance stuff.
" That is a very beautiful idea my love." She winked at him.
The seduction of Stella Calloway was now beginning, she thought to herself. She sighed.
I will miss you Drake when you leave me to go make your fortune, she thought.
He kissed her hand, it was a kiss full of calculations.
I will fight for him. I will pull him away from you... she spoke to the large amount of money in her bank account.
Stella put one of his fingers into her mouth. She watched him as he was still in his head.
He was working it all out, how he would control her after their wedding, how he would do it all for her, but not really.
He ignored her mouth seductively on his finger.
He pulled away, wiping her saliva off of his hand distractedly.
" Drake." She said.
" Hmm?" He answered.
" We should buckle up now, it is going to be a rough ride ahead."
She was thinking about the fight she was going to have with him about marraige.
He grabbed his seat belt, hers was well fastened. She could see right through him.
Drake looked at her then. She was so beautiful.
She would make him a very good wife, she was so loving, caring, sensitive, giving.
Pity their wouldn't be a way to get her pregnant, fat with his heir. His son.
He would perhaps talk to her about using a surrogate. She would be easily distracted by their children.
He pictured her holding a child. He smiled at the thought.
Stella pictured herself in Cash's arms, he was claiming her tonight. He would give her what she needed.
She shook her head. He will be upset at his mother's condition. She would offer him solace, not s*x. She nodded. She would just hold him, love him.
The plane landed. Drake took her hand. She smiled at him.
She looked for Sam.
" Sam!" She waved.
Drake stepped back to get the bags. He watched her get excited for his business partner and cousin.
He was feeling deep jealousy. Maybe for her love, but the seeds of greed were implanting themselves deeply now.
He had to claim that second billion. Despite all his protestations to the contrary, he would take that money, not let it just be given away.
Stella turned back to him and she pressed herself to his body.
" You are wrong about me." She said. Knowing all his thoughts, his whole mind.
" What, why is that?" He said.
" Drake, I am very, very loyal. I am very honorable for a bastard.
I will not be controlled. Do not ever forget that.
You can't be my husband, I think you forgot that part.
If I get married without a prenuptial contract, I lose every cent.
If you want to marry me, it will be naked without one dime. Would you do this?"
He hesitated just long enough to give her his answer.
She kissed him. She gave him the biggest kiss. It was her heart.
" Remember this. Remember that I love you. I know you, but I still love you anyway." She swatted his butt as she limped down to Sam.
