33. Stella leaves Teddy in Nepal...

" We are flying into Cairo as we speak, we just landed."said Ash.
Sam knew they were doing business in Egypt, he wanted them to make a detour to India to bring Drake home.
Storm was angry," We don't do your bidding younger dumber brother, we aren't your puppets."
Sam said softly," Uncle Stewart is dying, he in in the hospital now. Drake should be here."
Ash frowned. His dark curry hair dipped into one blue eye. He was the softer twin, a little more handsome, much nicer.
" We will do it, sorry Sam, I know you were close to our uncle." said Ash.
Storm agreed," Sorry bro, we got this. As soon as we get off this plane, we will suspend our business for family business."
Storm stood up, he was 6 foot 3 inches of lean muscle, he was a little lighter version of his eldest brother, Cash. He was dark haired and like Ash, he had curly black hair.
The men went to get their bags, then looked up flights to New Dehli.
They walked together, looking very much like twins, except Ash wore a grey Buburi suit and Italian loafers. He had expensive tastes.
Storm had a pair of Levi's and a coral toned sports jacket. He was much more casual than his twin. But there was no mistaking his intense sexuality.
Both men oozed confidence and were single, ready to mingle.
They had often dated the same women, they didn't mind a little sharing. Sometimes the women didn't even know they had slept with the wrong brother.
Kathmandu......
Teddy was in love. He fell very hard for Miriam. He wanted to spend every day with her, if he could.
They spoke quietly about flying to America. Miriam was stead fast against it, she had her kids to watch over here.
Teddy donated a large sum of his money to her charitable works, anonymously of course. He was hoping that she could now hire others to do her good deeds.
He was wrong. She was more determined than ever to expand her charity.
This woman, he was so smitten.
Stella saw how happy he was to be with Miriam.
She set up a fund for Teddy and Miriam for future needs of all the children. She called it the Sophia Turner project. Stella first real act of charity.
Teddy was determined to get Miriam home with him.
He spoke with Stella in the lateness of night. He walked with her on a small path so they could talk, alone.
" I know that we are family Stella, we stick together. She won't budge, damn it!" He spoke about Miriam.
Stella put her arm around Teddy's waist.
" I am able to travel alone, I got my new stick that Jacob made me." She grinned.
" Stella, I have never met a woman like Miriam. I would be a fool to leave her, wouldn't I?"
He badly needed her to release him from his obligations to her.
Stella's eyes twinkled in the moon light. " It's settled, I will go back to New Dehli and you my love, will stay here and be a good steward of my great aunts money."
He hugged her tightly. "You will vist me when you can right? Oh, Stella I don't want to be like all the others and leave you."
She touched his craggy face.
" You aren't like any other I know, you are a true gentleman and friend. I give you both my blessing. Now ask that woman to be your wife, and take care of all these kids." She smiled calmly, though her heart was beating fast.
She was wondering how she would do this without Teddy.
The next day there was a beautiful wedding, everyone came to celebrate.
The wedding ceremony took place under a decorated canopy called the mandap. The bride and groom sat together, and the priest performed a bit of a religious ritual reciting sacred mantras.
The couple exchanged garlands as a symbol of acceptance and respect for each other.
Of course Stella bawled like a baby. Dr. Sajna Ruby hugged her to her, her works were completed in Kathmandu.
" It is a good thing, do not cry dear. Come now, I am very, very busy, let's go back to my office in New Dehli." Sanja said.
Stella bid her fake father farewell, she hugged the boys and promised to return.
They boarded the plane, Stella walked slowly up the steps, Cash wasn't there to carry her.
Dr.Sajna frowned. She didn't like the way that leg looked, very swollen.
She texted her medical team. Prepare my surgical suite for a possible amputation patient.
Dr.Sanja asked Stella to go lie down and elevate her leg during the flight. She did so.
Once they landed, the ambulance took her to the medical center.
Stella called Cash.
" Hey, I'm back. I'm in the hospital." She told him.
Cash had gone on to Japuir as he had planned to try and lose Kira and Drake.
He turned around caught the next flight back.
Drake and Kira were driving south, trying to locate where Cash had fled off to.
Drake called Cash.
" Where are you my friend?" He sounded casual, but inside wanted to scream at him.
" Japuir if you must know. Stella is on her way." He lied.
Cash landed in New Dehli instead as Drake and Kira caught a flight to Jaipur.
He rushed into the hospital.
Stella was already in the surgical bay. She had instructed the staff that Cash Palmer was her emergency contact and would be arriving.
Stella was counting backwards from 10. By the time she reached 5 she was knocked out.
They placed her in position for the proceedure.
Dr.Sajna Ruby made the first cut. She worked hard on Stella as Cash waited nervously in the waiting room.
He stepped out to call Teddy.
There was no signal where Teddy was at, in the Himalayas on his honeymoon.
He called his brother Sam.
" I'm feeling nervous, sick. Stella is in surgery, she might lose her leg Sam. I can't do this alone. Can you fly here?" He asked his little brother.
" Stewart Plamer is in the hospital, He has cancer. I'm stuck here, I can't leave our uncle. I sent the twins to New Dehli.
Cash.... go pick them up at the airport. They need to collect Drake and bring him home."
Cash frowned. " Drake's no longer here."
" Where the hell is he?" asked Sam.
" I sent him ahead to Japuir." He said.
" Well, send the twins to get him and bring him back to California!" He yelled.
Cash asked the nurse how much longer. She said at least 5 hours. He had time to run to the airport.
He drove to pick up the boys. He spotted them a mile away, those tall men with the same walk.
He waved at them.
Ash came running up and hugged Cash.
Storm just shuffled up and gave him a two finger salute, "Hey boss man." He giggled.
They had been drinking on the flight, shit... he wanted them to go find Drake so he could stay with Stella, but they were beat and in no condition to travel right now.
Cash dropped them at the hospital, he told the nurse that he had a family emergency.
"These two brothers of mine will stay and wait for Stella to get out of surgery."
Cash went to the airport. He bought a ticket to Jaipur.
Jaipur...
Drake and Kira arrived in Jaipur.
Drake called Cash, it went to voice mail.
"Just tell us where you are, come on, you can't hide her from me forever." Drake said.
Cash was nervously flying on a small bumpy plane. He had no signal.
When he finally landed, he read Drake's message.
He called Drake. " Meet me at the airport, be quick please."
Drake had heard something in his cousin's voice that made him nervous.
