Whiteness filled my vision when I opened my eyes. At that moment, I knew I was not in heaven or any other place that the supernatural were supposed to go when they passed away. I blinked rapidly and the whiteness faded into a ceiling.
"That's much better," I muttered.
"He's awake!" I heard a feminine voice say. I tilted my head to my left and saw a young woman staring wide eyed at me as if surprised that I survived. I scowled deeply. Rude. I recognized her as the same woman from earlier that sat beside Gwen on her bed before I healed her.
Beside the woman was the old man from earlier. He seemed rather the calmer of the two. A small smile appeared on his face
