Stretching my arms out and yawning, I rose from the beautiful and most comfortable bed I had ever slept on (a lovely king-sized bed) and I have never had such an awesome time sleeping like this.   Oh yeah, of course, my so-called husband was nowhere to be seen in this room that was surprisingly 'ours'.    I arranged the bed, did my morning routine in our excessively classy gold-themed bathroom, made sure to spend enough time during my bath and washed my hair with the wonderful strawberry-scented shampoo. I returned to the bedroom, straightened my hair then wore a red dress I found in the wardrobe that clearly belonged to Indy.    I left for the kitchen, not crossing paths with Tristan at all.    “Good morning, madam.” Two of the male workers in the kitchen greeted me.    One thing I had noticed in this house was that there was only one female worker and the rest of them were male.    “Good morning.” I greeted.    “What would you like to eat?” One of them in an apron asked.    “Eat? No, I’ll do the cooking.”   They shared a glance at each other in surprise.    “Anyway, I’m Hazel.” I smiled and sauntered to them. “You are?”   “I’m David, I’m in charge of cooking here.” The one in apron replied.    “And I’m Mike Gerald, I’m the driver but here to grab my food.”   “Oh, it’s nice to meet you.” I grinned. “Please let me know where the ingredients are placed in this kitchen.”   “It'll be my pleasure.” David smiled.    With David’s help, I made toast and eggs with coffee for myself, any two workers, and maybe Tristan. There was no harm in giving him breakfast, was there?   I decided to have breakfast with David and Mike and I had to admit that they were very fun to be with.    “Wow, your cooking is really great. I’m so jealous.” David commented. “I’ll have to learn from you.”   We both chuckled before serving it properly for Tristan.    “Do you perhaps know where Tristan is?”   “The boss? If I’m not wrong, he should be working out now so you can check the gym. If he isn’t there then you can ask anyone around.”    “Okay, thanks.”    I placed his meal on a tray then left the kitchen in search of the gym. After asking the workers around (definitely men— really handsome men), I finally located where the gym was.    For some reason, my heart rate went crazy— was I making the wrong decision? The anger in his eyes last night wasn’t something I wanted to experience again. Maybe he might’ve calmed down and was able to process the fact that I was now his wife and there was nothing to do about it?   My palms were already sweaty but I still pushed the door of the gym open anyway.    My eyes landed on Tristan who was in only a singlet and sweatpants, and was on the phone with someone. I was certain my heart skipped a beat at how his strong biceps were glistening due to his sweat.    A frown was quick to form on his face at my presence.    “I’ll call you later, bye.” He ended the call, shoved the phone into his sweatpants pocket then approached me. Every step he took closer to me was making my breath seize till he finally stopped in front of me. Of course he was taller than me and I had to raise my head a bit to meet his furious gaze.    He glared at me, scanning me from head to toe then his eyes landed on the tray of food in my hands.    “What the heck is this?” He gruffed.    “Breakfast for you.”     “You brought breakfast for me? In the gym?” Jeez, I was so stupid to have brought his food to the gym.    “You can have it downstairs.”   “Are you really out of your mind?” Uh? Excuse me?   “What?”   “What are you trying to achieve? Are you trying to gain my attention or something?”   “It’s just breakfast,” I frowned too.    His frown intensified as he grasped my arm, causing the tray to fall from my hands and everything shattered on the floor.    “Listen up,” he pulled me to his chest (something I would’ve considered a dream come true if he didn’t look like a demon that wanted to beat me up right now), having a really tight and painful grasp of my arms, his electric blue eyes were burning with so much rage that could cause a fire. “We’re married now, I actually needed to get married for my business deals. You can ask for any amount of money you want and I’ll give everything to you without complaining but never… I repeat, never think of being a real wife else you’ll experience your worst nightmare. Never expect to receive love from me or try to get close to me, stay very far away from me as possible if you don’t want to get into more trouble.”    There was no hint of any good emotion in his eyes, only pure hatred, belittlement, and fury. Oh hell no, I had made the most terrible mistake of my life by getting married to this monster. Why had I agreed to help Indy out? What sort of crazy mess had I put myself in now? It had been proven, I was never going to be happy ever again.   “Stay away.” He repeated, his eyes were starting to turn red. “I hope you’ve heard me right?!” He barked.    I shut my eyes, turning my face away for a few seconds. “You’re hurting my arms.” I frowned too, re-opening my eyes.    He let go of me like he just realized he almost made my arms bleed, glanced at me again before storming out of the gym room.    I gazed at the destroyed meal on the floor then back at the door, watching the life I had expected to be filled with love and happiness crumble down completely.   Why on Earth had I put myself into this mess? How could I have fallen for such a terrible person? I never wanted to believe it but now I believe that he's indeed a heartless devil.
