LISA The moment I opened my eyes. I knew I wasn’t in the tent that was assigned to me. As best as my hazy eyes could see, I stared at the unfamiliar surroundings which sent a jolt of confusion through me. The room was dimly lit, casting long shadows that danced eerily on the walls. It wasn’t very big. As the bed looked like it was pushed against the wall and my body was pretty much pressed to it. My mind was a foggy haze, struggling to piece together the events that had led me here. There was a distinct absence of voices in my head. It was just complete and utter silence. No one to tell me what had transpired or where I was. I was alone with my thoughts, grappling with what fragmented memories that seemed to slip through my fingers like grains of sand.
