“You can’t tell me you believe that bullshit,” Lucien scoffed after I told him what happened with Isiah.
I give him a blank look, waiting for him to elaborate because I do actually believe Isiah. The situation he was in didn’t give him enough energy to work his brain cells the way he needed to to make his lie believable. I would have caught him even before he was done.
