They helped me with my wounds then Lily and I closed the bar earlier than usual brought by the incident. I expected Asher left already but I was surprised to see him standing at the entrance.
“Asher? What are you still doing here?”
“Don’t be surprised, I’m going to walk you home.”
“Is that so? You don’t have to take me home. I can take care of myself,” I shrugged. Asher suddenly flicked his finger on my forehead, tapping some sense in me. I let him walk with me home and didn't complain.
“Thank you again Asher,” I turned to him when we reached my apartment door. “I don’t know how Lily and I could return the favor-”
“Don’t worry about that. Anytime you need my help, just call me,” he interrupted. “I’ll be there,” he said as he turned his back and left.
