May pov
it was a week before the mating ball and everyone was running around trying to get things done, i was helping them set up the tables and chairs we decided to have white table cloths, with colorful flowers in the middle, we set up tents with tables and chairs next week will be the ball and everyone was hoping the unmated would find their mates, some will move here, some will leave and i know i will miss them, Over the years I have grown to love these people and understand their ways, it wasn't so bad, there was hardly any drama at all, but i was always looking after for Lee i knew she was nervous about the ball and i had helped her find the perfect dress, Erick and I wasn’t going to go, but Lee asked us to support her, and i could not say no, i wanted to support Ericks sister, and my cat Thunder wanted to make sure she was okay, she did not trust anyone outside the pack and honestly i don't either, im glad we decided to go because i would be to worried and i would have gone to check up on her a hundred times before the night ended, I was done setting the tables and chairs and putting the table clothes on them, i closed the tent up so nothing would blow away if it got windy, i walked into the hall to see what else i could do, the omgeas were running around making sure everything was perfect, next Thursday will be the day and i hope everyone found nice dresses and suits to wear, even the unmated alphas will be coming, so this could be exciting, I have already picked out my dress it was a little simple it was pink with a slit on the side with beads down the front it showed a little cleavage and it was sleeveless, even Thunder liked it, Erick said it wouldn’t last once the party was in full swing and we know for sure that Lee was safe he would drag me out of the hall and the dress will be on the floor, i smirked at him and said, “Is that a promise, he smirked back, “Just you wait miss May,

I was so nervous when i looked at the dress in my closet, will this attract my mate or attract the wrong person, I wasn't sure how i would do my hair because i was more of a tomboy then anything else, i have long dark hair, brown eyes and i was feisty, even my mom said when i was a little girl, i would want to try and kick people, i would want to watch others train when i was only six and i would try and do what they did, so my mom would let me go out there day after day watching and learning, she always told me that we were strong women, that we fault with all our might and never let anyone defeat us, So when i got older i would train every day and learn how to control my anger when i got mad, if i did not control it then my cat would come out and it wouldn't be pretty, so i learned to control it, her name was Sky. but she wasn’t so lovey if you get what i mean, she always said once when we find our true mate that things will be different, she never told me what that meant, but i guess i will find out sooner or later, i put the dress back in the closet and went outside, i wanted to help with the decorations, but it looked like it was all done, i could smell the food cooking my mom always loved cooking so i went into the kitchen to help out, i helped bake the cakes and brownies with the cookies, i also helped with the boston butt, and the ribs there was going to be tons of food all we have to do was heat them up and everything will be done,

I got the email from Alpha Rune, he was wanting to have a mating ball, I know frome time to time that a pack will do a mating ball so others could find their mates, i’ll need to let my pack know, i know there are a few that are unmated, and would love to go this this mating ball, so i linked the unmated males and females letting them know,
“to all the unmated males and females, Alpha Rune and Alpha Hope is hosting the mating ball this year, it's next week so make sure you wear your nices dresses and suits, make sure you go in there and respect and no fighting, is that clear?. i waited for them to each answer and they all said “Yes Alpha,” Well that leaves me, my mate died during a war, and i am mateless, it's been over ten years now and i still miss her like it was yesterday, i will need to go to make sure my pack behaves, and doesn't start trouble like some of them love to do and i have to put them in their place. like Caroline, she loves to start drama and Bonnie, she loves to try and steal mates from other she cats, she almost got herself killed a year ago, and Burk he likes to start fights, these kids better find their mates before i strangle them, because they drive me crazy sometimes, So next week it is, and maybe we all will have some fun, a little dancing, laughing and hopefully finding mates,
