I looked at Otis who was sleeping beside me and carl's voice rang out in my mind.
"This is what it's like to have a mate, this is the love I haven't had in all these years."
I murmured, the moonlight shining on Otis's body, she was sleeping so deeply that she remained unresponsive even as I touched her body.
