Chapter 15: The Pony BoyMarch twenty-second presented a one-act play of its own. Thick ice-rain fell from the white and semi-black heavens. Wicked sleet formed on the city’s streets, causing quite the cluster f**k. Wind blew down from Quebec and caused horrendous commotion. The ice storm lasted well into the afternoon, disrupting everyone’s lives. Blowing ice scratched against all the windows; haunting sounds like jiggling skeletons and winter ghouls. Businesses and schools were closed. Uber drivers didn’t dare attempt to make it from one side of town to the other in fear of wrecking. Streets were empty of life, as well as Templeton Park. Bottom line: all of Templeton and its surrounding towns had ceased from operating and opted to let the public know: beware of the danger until otherwise
