Celestial's Point of View
I ran as fast as I could out of the pack house. Everyone was staring at me as I passed them. I could hear pack members whispering but I didn't pay them any mind. I just needed to get out of there. I felt like I couldn't breathe.
I stopped at a bench and sat down. It all made sense now. Mason was the one who called for me to come back to the Pack. He must have taken over as the Alpha. I guess his father finally passed the Alpha Title to him. It did make sense. He was almost twenty one. What didn't make sense was why he would ask me to come back? Was he planning on punishing me or something? I wouldn't put it past him. I knew he hated me.
"Celest," I heard Monica call me. I looked up to see she was walking toward me. She sat beside me at the table and I sighed. "Are you okay?" Celest asked
"Why would he send for me after everything that happened?" I asked
"I don't know. Maybe, he wants you to be..." I knew what she was going to say but I didn't want to hear it.
"No he doesn't, Monica. He hates me. I know he hates me. There is no way he wants me," I said and my mind went back to what happened two weeks before Alpha Michael sent be the the Half Moon Pack.
Eight Months Ago
"Turn that damn alarm off," My mom screamed which woke me up out of my sleep. I quickly pressed the button to turn my alarm clock off. "Damn, how many times do I have to tell you to stop waking me up from my sleep. I barely got any sleep," My mom said.I wanted to tell her that maybe if she wasn't out all night at the club partying, then maybe she would have gotten some sleep. It wasn't my fault she stayed out every night partying until the sun came up. I knew that if I said that she would punish me so I held my tongue.
"I am sorry, mom," I said
"Yeah, you sure are sorry. I am going back to sleep and don't wake me up again. Oh yeah, I need you to pay the light bill. I am short," My mom said. She was always short on money, probably because she didn't work. I was the one that had to go to school and work as a waitress to make sure the bills were paid. My mom went back to her room and I got up to get ready for school.
As I was walking to the bathroom I remembered it was my eighteenth birthday. I smiled knowing that meant I could find my mate. Hopefully, I would find him and we would live happily ever after. That was how it was supposed to be.
I decided to wear a pretty light blue sundress. After I showered I brushed my teeth and combed my hair. I decided to let my long black hair hand loose down my back. I put on the sundress and light blue sandles that matched. I looked at myself one more time in the mirror before making my way out of the bathroom and to my room to get my phone and bag.
It was seven in the morning and if I wanted to make it to school in time I would have to leave since I had to walk. The bus didn't come to our neighborhood because it was a very bad neighborhood and I knew not to ask my mom to take me to school. The last time I asked her she cussed me out and told me that she would never take me to school.
After getting my bag I walked out of my room and headed for the front door to leave. My mom was on the couch, straddling some man when I walked into the living room. I tried to leave before she could say anything but she called my name before I could make it to the door.
"Celest, come here," My mom said as she got off the guys lap. I walked over to her and waited for her to tell me what she wanted to say
"Don't forget to pay the light bill today," My mom said
"okay," I replied
"And who is this young woman, Tina?" The man asked as he looked me up and down making me feel disgusted.
"This is Celest. I told you about her. She is my little sister," my mom said and I looked at her. It wasn't the first time she told some guy I was her sister. She wouldn't want anyone knowing she had a child.
"Hello, Celest. It is nice to meet you. My name is Tyler."
"Hello. I have to get to school," I said and My mom laughed.
"I don't know why you spend your time at school anyway. You are just going to end up a w***e anyway," My mom said and Tyler laughed with her. I just ignored them and walked out of the house.
"Watched where you are going, looser," Stacie, the beta's daughter said while I was walking up the steps to Full Moon High.
"I am sorry," I replied, even though she was the one that ran into me.
"Whatever," Stacie said. Suddenly I was hit with the most intoxicating scent of Pine and musk. I looked up to see Mason was staring at me. His normal ocean blue eyes were black as the night sky.
"Mate," I said without thinking and Stacie sighed. Everyone was staring at us at the moment.
Suddenly, Mason started laughing. "Huh, me, your mate. You have got to be joking. I can't believe you would say that. How could I be Mated to a week girl like you. You are nothing but an omega. You are nothing," Mason said and everyone started laughing
I ran away while everyone laughed.
"I can't believe she would say Mason, the future Alpha is her mate."
"She is such a looser,"
"She is crazy."
"Stacie should have beat her ass. Everyone knows that Stacie is the one meant to be with Mason."
After that everyone would make fun of me daily. They all said I was delusional and crazy. What was worse was that Mason never would just sit there and let everyone talk about me. This went on until Alpha Michael came over to my house and told my mom that I needed to leave because I was too weak and didn't deserve to live in the pack. Of course, my mom didn't hesitate to agree with Alpha Mason and sent me to my Aunt Grace's house, who is my mom's sister.
I was worried at first, but after I got there, I knew it was the best thing that could have happened to me. Everyone in the Half Moon Pack is amazing. They all welcomed me with open arms. All I wanted to do was go back to the Half Moon Pack. I wanted nothing to do with the Full Moon Pack. I didn't belong there.
