CHAPTER FOURTEEN He kept thinking about the truck—that damned truck that he had somehow not even taken the time to think about when the lawn care man had come knocking. He’d let less than thirty seconds pass before he’d attacked the man. He’d then dragged his unconscious body back to his addition of the house to the soundtrack of his mother’s blaring shows and her miserable coughing. Once the lawn care man was safely stored away in the crawlspace, that’s when the idea of a truck had occurred to him. The lawn care man had come here somehow. Probably in a company car because that was better for advertisement.
