Emily’s pov   When I woke up – again, it was almost midday. Xavier was sleeping with his head laying on the mattress of my hospital bed. His dark brown hair looked even silkier in the sunlight, and I had to keep myself from running my fingers through them. He was holding my hand, and the warmth of his fingers wrapped around mine went right to my heart. I didn’t know what changed… a week before, his first touch had brought unwanted memories back, just like the touch of any other man.
