CHAPTER TEN Chris stood in the quaking School for Seers, every fiber of his body tingling with excitement. The look on Professor Amethyst’s face as he’d attempted to flee was priceless. The old man was supposed to be the most powerful seer of them all, and yet just the sight of the Obsidian students had sent him scurrying away in fear. Now they were locked in a game of cat and mouse with the stupid old man. Chris wondered if the old seer had any idea just how fun this was for him. He’d catch sight of him up on the thirty-third floor, use his seer power to throw a rope ladder out of his wrists, and climb up after him.
