CHAPTER TWENTY ONE Professor Amethyst floated through the sixth dimension, his body feeling bruised and battered. But he cared not about the pounding he’d taken in order to stall the Obsidian children, he cared only about Oliver Blue’s and Esther Valentini’s dual quests. He’d put everything in place for them perfectly. He’d tugged the correct threads of time. Aligned all the pieces. But would it be enough? He’d had to bury the real mission very deeply within layers of red herrings in order to hide the truth from the Elysian. He could only pray that Oliver would be smart enough to work out that the Cogs of the Cosmos was the real object of their quest. Hazel Kerr would most certainly lead them to Galileo. Oliver, with his newfound language skills, would be able to communicate effectively
