A Smile On The Window

1943 Words
Sophie It was near 11:30 at night. Troy tends to sleep at my house when my parents are away. It makes my dad feel like we're protected knowing there's a responsible man in the house. They said they'd be back by Monday, so I'm hoping I get to see them tomorrow morning before school begins. We had all headed out to sleep. Troy was still weary from yesterday's party; he headed to sleep earlier than usual tonight.  I laid in bed trying to sleep, but I kept wondering what Logan was doing right now. I have been texting with him all day. He had a few errands to run for his mom today so we didn't get to spend time together like we had hoped last night after he had dropped me off from the party. Just when I started closing my eyes, my phone buzzed. I picked it up and glanced at it, it was a call from Logan. I picked it up and right away he answered. "Go to sleep already. Stop thinking of me." It made me smile and I rolled my eyes as I replied. 'What makes you think, I'm thinking of you? Maybe I was asleep and you woke me up." I replied. "Liar. You know you were thinking of me. You know why?" He replied. I rolled my eyes, though it did make my stomach flutter. It was true, I constantly think of him. Undeniable that he roams my mind more often than I'd like to admit. "What are you doing up so late?" He asked in a low voice. "Nothing. Just here. Trying to stay warm." I replied. It was true, my room was cold. The temperature was getting pretty cold and soon it would start to snow. "Maybe I can help you stay warm." He said again in a low husky voice. My stomach leaped into a heave of butterflies fluttering wildly in my stomach. "Shut up! How can you keep me warm? You're there, I'm here. No way that could happen. I'll just have to suck it up until I get a new heater for my room." He laughed, and my stomach turned even more wild as I heard a faint tapping on my glass door leading to the balcony. Logan had climbed up the side of my house, and onto my balcony to talk to me. My eyes widened; I jolted up from my bed to open the sliding door. "Logan? Are you crazy? It's three stories high! You could have gotten hurt." I whispered as I pulled him inside. If Troy's grandma noticed he was here, I have no idea how she'd react. He chuckled and went inside. Soon as I closed the door and locked it, he pulled me, kissing me on my lips. He claimed them with force catching me by surprise. His hands roamed my waist and back, holding me tight against him.  I ran my arms around his shoulders and intertwined my fingers in his hair. There was a bit of tension that was beginning to build between us. The tension I was unsure how we would both be able to handle it. I had never been with a boy, hell, I've never even kissed a boy before, for that matter. Logan had stolen my first real kiss. But honestly, speaking? I did not mind one bit.  Our kiss heated, our breath became erratic and I had to pull away before things went too far. He placed his forehead on mine and hugged me tight, running his hands slowly up and down my back. His skin was cold from the outside temperature including his cheeks and nose. My eyes closed, but I could feel him smiling as he buried his face in my neck. "Logan, are you crazy? What are you doing here? We can get in so much trouble if someone walks up here and sees you." I said as I grabbed his cheeks with my hands, his smile still lingering on his face. "Well then lock the door." He replied and I looked at him disbelieved while he continued to smile. "I just wanted to see you, Sophie. I need to see you. I haven't seen you all day. You have any idea how hard that is?" He said as he kissed my forehead and temples.  "Ugg, you're unbelievable Logan," I said as I undid myself from him, pushing him on his chest and walking towards my door to lock it. Now, don't get the wrong idea, I have no intentions of getting frisky with Logan; but if Grandma Michaelson came in, we both will be dead.  He chuckled softly while he continues to whisper. Pulling me by my hand and making me stand between his legs as he sat on the edge of my bed. "Logan. Why are you here? Are you trying to purposely get me in trouble?" I asked, placing my hands on his shoulders. He glanced up at me with a smile, the glistened of moonlight hitting my window made his shadowed body look more lean and muscular than on an average day.  I was beyond nervous, and this was bad! Very bad news.  He ran his hands along my waist and pulled me closer. "Of course not. I just couldn't wait for tomorrow to see you anymore. I needed to see those hazel orbs, Sophie."  "Oh, is that it? Well, why didn't you say so? I could have ever taken a picture of my eyes and sent it to you!" I taunted him. I giggled silently, he buried his head on my stomach, his hands around my waist and hips. He needed to stop doing that. I was aiming to keep my v card for as long as I can. And he was making this rather difficult for me by coming here at night. Nonetheless, I was not going to give in to his temptations that easily. He giggled and sat me on his lap, placing his hand on my waist, sternly, if he was trying to keep me from moving anywhere? He was doing a mighty good job at it. "Soph, I need to ask you something. I've been thinking about it since our date, and I just can't wait anymore." He looked at me with a serious tone, running his hands through my hair and slowly caressing my back. I tilted my back slightly and smirked. "What is it? " I asked, my voice coming out almost in a whisper. We lock eyesight and slowly he ran his hand along my jaw, pulling me close to him, closing the space gap between the two. "What did you think of my mom's chocolate truffles?" He asked almost sarcastically, and unwilling to hold his giggles. I laughed, throwing my head back and nodding. "They were delicious actually. Is that all you wanted to ask? Because it's getting late. We both need to sleep so we can get to school on time tomorrow." A side smirk formed on his face as he continued to glance at me. We both became silent, he stared at me with intensity, I felt he was trying to search for my soul. I had always thought of him as a very intriguing person, but the more time I have come to spend with him, the more I realize that there is more to him than meets the eye.  "Logan?" I asked, cutting through the silence that had perpetrated through the air between us.  He held me tight, placing his head on my chest and embracing me tightly. I couldn't resist his hugs, they somehow had begun to feel more of a comfort zone for me. I felt at peace and protected by his arms. I trailed my hands around his neck and shoulders, placing my chin on the top of his head and inhaling the intoxicating aroma of his cologne that makes me wild. "Sophie?" He whispered, unable to utter a word, I hummed a response as my eyes remained closed. "Be my girl." He whispered, my mouth unwillingly forming a smile, vertigo in my stomach uncontrollable, and my heart skipped at a million per second. Though I wanted to say yes, there was a lot I still needed to learn about Logan before I said yes. I needed to be sure that all this wasn't just a dumb prank that would come to bite me on my ass.  "Logan, I can't answer you that right now. There's still so much we both don't know about each other and-" He pulled me towards him, making me stumble. He turned us, making me fall on my bed. He hovered over me and glanced sternly, silently. His gaze sent shivers down my spine. I felt naked the way he stared so intensely at me. His hands on either side of my head, slowly he leaned down and kissed me slowly. It wasn't a forced kiss, rather a sweet, gentle kiss. "That can be arranged, Patterson. I want to learn everything about you. What you like, what you dislike, your favorite food, what scars you have in your body. Everything." "So, you don't mind waiting on the answer?" I asked smiling. He ran his hand along my side and ran his gaze from my waist and back to my eyes. "Oh, I don't mind." "So then we can leave the subject aside for now and be friends then, right?" I asked as I placed my hands on his chest. His chest felt strong and rigged. I could tell he spent an adequate amount of time doing exercise.   "Oh, we can be friends. But that doesn't mean I'll give up on asking you to be my girl." He kissed me continuously on my cheeks, nose, and forehead making me giggle.  "What? But I thought-" "I will ask you the same question every day, and any chance I get. I will NEVER give up asking you, until- I get a yes." He said as he got up, and took off his hoodie. He wore a V-neck white top underneath, that's when I noticed he had gone to get his very first tattoo on his right upper arm. It was pretty dark, and I couldn't make out what it was, but I didn't want to be nosy, so I left it alone. His arm was still dressed, covering the tattoo since he had just gotten it done. He laid back done next to me, taking out his phone. He turned on the camera taking a quick picture of us. I turned my head and grabbed his cheek, kissing him on his other cheek as I felt the flash go off again. After a few more shots, we snuggled for a bit, covering up with my duvet as he put on a movie on his Netflix app on his phone.  I don't know how far along we both got into the movie before we both fell asleep in each other's arms. He was nothing like any other guy. Hell, he was nothing like I imagined he would be, that's for sure. So why is it that he had the reputation of being a big shot with the ladies? I certainly would have been approached by many other girls at school if that was the case. But the only girl that ever gave me a dirty look for hanging around with him was Amber.  One thing is for sure, I don't know how long I can keep from saying no to him. He made it quite clear, he would not give up asking me to be his girlfriend. ✨✨✨✨✨✨✨
