**Jake POV**
Four hours. It took them four hours to release me from jail after my bail hearing. My stomach turned and my mind raced the entire time, not knowing what was going on with Tillie. I race to change into my clothes and out of the stupid tan jumpsuit they put me in when I got to the jail. An officer escorts me down the corridor to the lobby where my dad and Maggie are waiting for me.
“You’re either giving me the keys so I can drive or you’re going to drive fast, but I need to get to Tillie’s,” I say to my dad as we walk out of the county jail.
“No, you don’t need to go to Tillie’s,” Maggie says, sniffling through her words. I turn to look at her and notice her eyes are red and puffy from crying, tears still threatening to spill out.
“Why? What happened?” I ask, panic and fear
