Hazel POV
As soon as we were back in our rooms, Ashley chatted about my encounter with Delilah to Penelope who has been a very great yet quiet listener.
"By the way Penelope…" I paused to see her reaction, she was a strangely quiet person and she might choose to ignore me. "I didn't see you during lunch," I finally added.
"Yes, I had some urgent matters to take care of," she replied with a slight frown on her face. " Why do you ask?" she added with a curious gaze.
"I was just worried about you," I replied with a smile while Ashley soon began with her non ending tales.
"And then, Hazel twisted her hands which made her wince in pain, and I could see the shock on Madeline's face, and at that time, I had a victorious smirk on her lips–" there was a knock on the door interrupting Ashley and she let out a small groan.
"Penelope, the delta wants your presence immediately," a maid informed, the disgust on her face was evident and she immediately lunged for the door without waiting for her response as if staying any longer would corrupt her soul.
"Well, it seems you are going to have a long wild night," Ashley winked as Penelope quietly leaves the room.
"Least I forget, who is Madeleine? The way you called makes me feel like you are going to strangle her," I asked and I noticed her grit her teeth the moment she heard that name.
"Of course, not only did I want to kill her, I want to put her head on a platter and offer her to the devil himself," she fumed and she spoke each word with venom. " How dare she toy with my master?"
"But I clearly remembered Madam Yvonne telling me about the part that masters can be with whoever they like as long as there was permission," I pointed out digging my fingers into my hair and started straightening it up.
" Yes," she admitted, her brows raised, "I don't care about that rule, all I want is for her to stay from him," she stated with anger on her face.
" Why are you angry and jealous? You are supposed to be happy because it allows you to rest and be free."
"Well I am not, I am not happy about that, I only want him…" she paused and took a sharp breath before speaking. "What did Madam Yvonne say when she called you in," she asks with a curious gaze.
"The Alpha had asked her to train me for a week," I said with a grim face.
"Within a week?" she shrieked before placing her palm to cover her lips.
"Yes, he is such a cruel beast," I sneezed as I struggle to hold back the tears threatening to spill.
"It's an ok girl, you can cry all you want," she says as she pulled me in a hug and I finally let them flow freely. "You know that's how we all feel at first but soon we got used to it, don't worry girl you are going to pass all this," she comforted me patting me by the hair.
"Thank you," I sniffed as I wiped my tears. " I am sorry I got too emotional and carried away," I apologized.
" How many weeks were you given to be trained," I asked.
"No, I was trained for two months before Cole and I…" she pauses, her lips flushing with embarrassment.
"Are you by chance calling your master by his name," I asked?
"No Hazel, I dare not call him by his name, you know you shouldn't call your master by his name."
"But you just did," I said with a serious look but internally, I was bursting out with laughter. Ashley is going nuts and is definitely in love with her master.
"You will not tell anyone, will you?" she pleaded to make me burst out with laughter.
"Of I won't, and what's with that face," I teased her.
"Oh, if anyone hears about it, then I am as good as dead, you really won't want your friend to be chained with silver, will you?" she mouthed.
" Hey girls," I looked up to see Penelope standing by the door, her hair was a mess and her lips were smeared with her lipstick. "It's dinner time," she informed and made to leave when Ashley stopped her.
"Hey Penelope, a really quick brush and little makeup will do, right?" she said the skin around her eyes formed a crease as Penelope glared at her.
"Sure," she replied with a forced smile before storming out of the room.
"Ashley?" I mumbled before I rolled my eyes at her.
"It's not my fault, I just told her about what I saw," she shrugged her shoulders before standing abruptly and moving closer to me.
"Maybe you could have told her more nicely," I corrected and she gave me a ' whatever' look.
"Now what were you doing with Dean in the hallway earlier, how do you even know him," she asked with a serious look on her face, her black curls bouncing as she asked.
"I just bumped into him earlier in the hallway and I apologized," I simply replied intentionally not speaking about those flirty words he said earlier.
"And?" she said with a curious look, probably expecting me to say more.
"And nothing else," I muttered, my voice a little shaky.
"And he let you go like that, just like that," she asked and I shot her a weird look.
"Yes!" I replied taking a sharp breath hoping she would drop the topic.
"Good, " she heaved a sigh of relief before standing up and walking towards the door.
" Where are we going to?" I asked her, after what happened during lunch, I didn't want to meet with those mean bitches or I might strangle them to death.
"To have dinner of course, unless we want to see Madam Yvonne's wrath," she threatened.
"Well, I don't want to go to the dining hall," I confessed.
"But we can't stay here either or we get caught," she pointed out and I nodded.
" I have an idea," she shrieked with glee in her, " let's go out of the castle, let's go for a run."
" What!" I exclaimed, "That is embarking on a death mission."
