Somewhere on a deserted island in southeast Asia, a bizarre family reunion of sorts took place. El jumped up and ran towards Crystal. Evan, still half-tangled in the jungle flora, was at their mercy. Shannon and Trevor had no idea where they were, what was happening, or who this second Ellie was.
“Crystal, I’m so glad you’re here! So much has been going on, I was so afraid,” El rattled on as she reached Crystal.
“Honey, I told you I had to take care of a few things. I’m here now, but I can’t stay here forever. Things are happening I still need to take care of.” Crystal glanced over at the silent Shannon holding her driftwood sword and Trevor armed with a coconut. “You two, life’s been treating you well.
